In these troubled times in the XI forums, the growing influence of snowflakes needs to be accounted for, don't you agree Senior Admins?? we can't carry on being politically incorrect, rough and saying things how they are, no, we must become more cuddly fluffy and caring. I for example grew up in a tough neighbourhood, did a tough job and (true) never worked with women until I was 44, needless to say I made them cry. However, I ended up being loved (not literally) by those same women, reaching the dizzy heights of being told by them all that I was the only man in the building (true again). I also have the Hero 7 black and it's a work horse and has so many built in capabilities. I use my son's Hero 7 silver as a backup but it is limited in what it can do. The stabilization in the Hero 7 Black is out of this world!

I've also read that EIS has become so good that a gimbal isn't necessarily needed i.e. Gopro Hero late iterations. Watched a youtube review comaparing & contrasting the performance of the EIS on the Hero Black with that of an actual gimbal; granted the guy didn't go through a comprehensive testing, but he walked around, jogged, jumped etc., & placed the resultant footage side by of the parallel filming to elaborate his opinion; which was it was sufficient (the EIS) to use that solely, sans gimbal. Actually, I think it was an Osmo Pocket cam which has integrated gimbal & EIS; but the gist is the same from other readings: EIS has pretty much arrived for solely image stabilization. The gimbal (Osmo Mobile 3) does have nice features like panning, object tracking, time lapse, hyper lapse that, paired with the MIMO app, give a decent working sandbox for on-the-go editing processing & sharing along with several other nice features.

I have a gopro hero black 7 and like it. May sell and upgrade after the new one comes out. Got a gimbal but it was super fragile and returned before 30 days was up, but really liked it. Didn't like that it wasn't fully waterproof. Got a bunch of video with dog that I need to edit.

Somewhere on the bow of the Iowa is Draco and Bmoney. This was the Anchors Away Tour (stop #9) @ USS Iowa. If you live near one of the ships, I would check it out! It's a fun day spent with other players. They have goodies they give out and there is a scavenger hunt for premium ships! Bmoney found the Massachusetts and I won the Admiral Graf Spee, along with a super container that contained 100 flags. Plus a large portion (if not all of it) of the ticket price goes back to the ship. That's the main purpose is to help the museums maintain the boats. Check out the Warships website forums for locations. Only a few stops left for this tour, but they will have one next year.
