I lost my mother two days before Christmas last year.  It's so tough.

I am fortunate, I am 61 and still have my 92 year old father.

Unfortunately he lives halfway across the country and I don't get many opportunities to see him.

I am dreading that day.....

With Tropical Storm Ophelia forecast to completely screw up our weekend, my beautiful bride and I decided to play hookie and take advantage of the beautiful weather on Wednesday.

After a morning of boat maintenance, we decided to cast the lines and drop anchor in one of our favorite coves until sunset.

We won't get many more days like this before we have to winterize and get Cool Change read to hibernate for the winter.....

Haha actually I was doing maybe 22 MPH.  That boat tops out at 28 MPH.  I accelerated the video....

Wife and I joined several of our 'dockmates' up at the Warf in Washington, D.C. this past weekend.

It was HOT as Haiti, but there was plenty of libations and good times flowing.

I threw my Insta360 X3 camera on the back of the boat to catch some footage on the way back to the marina.

To answer is yes still fire up there , they are more north so farter than inhabit towns , here last night news that one of them is at Radisson (very north in quebec prov , this fire cover sa record lifetime an area larger than Jamaica itself.

visibilty last weeks was ok we had localy lot of rain (no boating on the lake too much) here depends of winds direction but last three days we still have smoke mixed with humidity beurk!!!!!

No worries it was a little hectic in the game last night! 

I hope they can get the fires under control before they do more damage.  We have smoke back here in Virginia from them, again.
