First simple thing to try is taking the card out, and reseating it into it's slot.  Quickly try that, and give me a shout

Have you checked your resolution settings? Depending on your monitor (or in my case TV ---  1080pi) I can run to 1920x1080

Only reason i suggested this is on one of my monitors if you go above the max setting a black screen shows up.

If this is the case you may be dealing with a bad card..   Do you have a spare to install and see if the screen comes up?

 Yes I did that yesterday after I removed all the old drivers for my last gpu because I had a conflict as soon as I did that the graphics card was working great like I said it was the best Black ops experience I have had no crashes or anything. Then today switched on my comp and black screen

YES I have had that before as well but the power supply I have now is 750watt so that should be ok.

What I am trying now is I have put an old gpu in the comp mainly to check the motherboard and it works so what I am doing now is deleating everything from the graphics card drivers ect ectand then try a new install here's hoping

Also try removing the memory/ram and re-seating as that will cause no video as well.

You know your system's OK because you've tested on another card; and you know your drivers are OK because you were gaming with them last night. That leaves a failure of the card, which I'm sure you'll find after you attempt to reinstall it.

Good luck.

When reinstalling your video drivers I recommend running "driver sweeper" in safe mode to rule out a driver issue.

Driver sweeper;  http://www.phyxion.net/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper-275

When installing the driver chose custom and do not install the Nvidia hd audio driver.If it's already installed then disable it in device manager.This will rule out the known hd audio driver irq cionflict.Have look here;

Hey Guy's a very big thank you for all your help...

Well I deleated all the drivers off my comp when I had my old graphics card in then re-installed my new one but instead of using the disc that came with it, I let windows locate and install the driver and BINGO I am back in action and it seems to be running smoother than before.

So I do not know if their is bad or corrupted drivers on the disk but hell I am BACK Laughing SO WHO CARES

Oh did not realize you used the disk. I NEVER use that I alway download the latest drive from the manufactures web site and use that. Glad you got it sorted out.

Nice that you got it working again Baldie!

GTX470s are nice and powerful, but they run real warm, just be careful to have enough cooling around it...
