You got it right Sweatnbullets, Florida has it all just depending on what part you live in. If you don't like it as hot northern Florida is the place to go plus they have some rolling hills up there and some great horse farms.

UP there Wolftis? Are you a South Fl. boy? lolz

Florida? well I'm born and raised here, and other than the Panhandle beaches, the Keys & beautiful women on the beach, FLORIDA SUX! When my daughter is grown up I'll be leaving this flat land. N.W. Fl. has a few rolling hills if thats what you want to call them, I mean come on the highest point here is like 21 feet above sea level and thats truly only in 1 spot in the state, I believe thats Crestview Fl. along the I-10 interstate.

I say anywhere either in or very close to the mountains from N.Ga. to Tenn. I don't want the snow so I won't go any higher that! I have a sister that owns a ranch in Trout Creek Montana shes always trying to get to move there, its Beautiful but the freaking snow, NO WAY lmao!

LMAO Boomer, no I am not a south Florida boy. I live near Lakeland, Fl and moved down here in 1973 from Ithaca, NY. I agree with you on the Panhandle area as I spent a month in that area but the problem there is all the big storms hit that area.  I have also spent a lot of time in the Keys scuba diving and love that area. I like the Lakeland area except for the damned humidity in the summer and your right, you get much south of here and it is very flat.

HAve u guys ever been in styria? In my opinion it's one of the most beautiful districts in austria - we got a lot of snow in winter, warm summers and the best beer Wink Styria calles itself: "The green heart of austria" and thats exactly what it is like. Large and old forests, small lakes, wonderful montains in the north and smaller hills in the south.

South-Styria

I haven't been to a lot of other countries but the ones I've already seen weren't as beatiful as styria.

But that's just my opinion, maybe u guys can change my way of thinking about my favourite place to live Laughing

Looks like the place Frodo lives

My roommate tells me that there is a place in California Lompock (pronounced-Lompoke) that has all the aforementioned criterion. Only about 70-80 degrees in the summer and nice all yr long and its a relatively small town.

Is a nice little town.....if you wanna live in a prison town Surprised   That prison holds some serious offenders.

California would be your best bet Bushape Wink    somewhere like San Diego...just turn on the golf tourney going on there this weekend, and check out the weather they're having!  or in the Napa Valley......like Napa, or Sonoma!  Beautiful weather, low crime, good schools, and relatively close to some of the Most Beautiful places in the World! Cool

Yep!   I'm only 30 mins from Marin!

and Yes....the legislature does suck!    but its been years...since there has been any rolling blackouts around here!

and I will deal with our Earthquakes anytime...before dealing with Huricanes every year, like Florida....or trying to avoid the Arctic weather like the North is locked in right now! Wink

yeah Wolftis, you got to love that damn humidity right, 1000 percent everyday...lol  I use to install security systems and I've been in attics that were 140 plus degrees in the middle of summer. It's a love hate thing you know? haha I'm in Panama City, the worlds most beautiful beaches, at least one of them! Emerald green water that you can see through for 100 feet, white sand beaches oh yeah, other than that screw it lmao! I use to live in Jacksonville, what a gutter hole that place is!

Florida is a great place to visit and catch some rays, good fishing (deep sea) & fall cycle riding is to die for! But its almost time for that change :)  I'll still own my home here, not sure if I want to rent it or keep it availible for yearly visits, I've got to think about that for a while...

Bushape you all ready live in the best place in the world to me. I lived in Eureka for 5 yrs, 5 rivers with Salmon and St33lhead fishing, watching someone reel in a 65lb salmon damn didnt have a pole with me. redwoods all around me, 75 in the summer, it does get pretty cool in the winter,30s but usally the 40s. no snow, but if you want it a 40 min. drive to the mountians you got it. you want it hotter in the summer, same mountians 40 min away 90s. Blue skies year around, except when it is raining, which it does alot, not hard rain though. but just not enough work for me there. I am in construction and in the northwest there is not enough building going on to make $$. I have been all over the east coast and the west coast, and I have not found a more beautiful place to live then the pacific northwest. I wish I could move backCry. But sad to say I live in hell now, Phx AZ, were 9 months of the year its in the 90s to 125 digrees. Not tring to make the AZer's mad, but damn, when it hurts to breath because its so hot, thats hell!!! All I can say is " I got to get out of this place, if its the last thing I eeever doooo, to find a better place for me and youuu" lol Some day I will be back in God's country LaughingWink

Michigander here. But if it weren't for family and carrer, I'd have moved long ago. Like to visit Florida for escape from cold, but few other places I've thought of living at besides the Pacific Northwest (though Tennessee is similar with mountains and more mild climate). Spent a few vactions there and absolutely loved it. Beautiful part of the country, lots of recreation both in mountains and close to the ocean - wish more jobs in Oregon or Washington state. Median temp climate. Michigan is nice for 3-4 months of the year, has the lakes and all, but late fall to spring it sucks unless you like to snowmobile or ice fish. Maybe I'll retire out there!!
