Well Whatever Merlin Uses... I should try  he is hard to beat< or impossible. I Use a recliner and a keyboard and mouse... computer desks suck.. I have my PC in the closet out of sight, ugly old thing..  But with my cheap ass old PC and lack of gaming time... 4 hours to 8 hrs a week, I still feel I beat most people on occasion, BUt instead of a 3000.oo PC maybe a G 13 Gamepad is what I need? I like to win, do you still use a MOUSE with game pad?

bought the g500 a few weeks ago.

its a nice mouse but the scroll wheel just suck bad compared to other mouses like my steelseries mouses.

its the only bad thing about the mouse, its fast, sharp, no other problem except some of the buttons wont bind in some games. (u know the 3 buttons u have on the left side, well, the middle one is useless in most games)

Ferret

I have been using a Nostromo N52 for a couple years.

nostromo-n52.jpg

It is a Belkin product, but looks exactly like the G13 above, prolly the same product with a different brand name stuck on it.

Anyhoo, I *MUST* have it play now, I love it, I don't see how people can play with a regular keyboard.  It doesn't take long to get used to it, and resting your hand (just using your fingers) instead of holding your hand up takes a lot of stress & fatigue off your wrist.  Often I hear guys say "gonna take a break, need to rest my hand"....betchya they are using a regualr keyboard.

What I do a lot of the time when I play, is turn sideways and kick my feet up on a chair, prop my right elbow up on the desk to mouse with, and pull the keypad into my lap & lean back.  Very comfortable.   I tore my lower back up a few years ago carrying a 60 pound boat battery up steps, and this is a VERY comfortable-on-the-back way to play.  So effectively, I need the keypad for my back..... but it works great & I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Hi Ferret, how long did it take you to get used to it?

no i like that dual thing, its not the problem but its cheap.

build quality of the wheel is bad.

its shaking all over, feels like a cheap toy.

for example, in cod4 i had the frag grenade binded on the wheel click.

worked like a charm for my steelseries and razer mouses. but its impossible to do the same on the logitec.

its really impossible.

other than that its a nice mouse, comfortable and all, and i like it. but that wheel problem and the middle button unusable makes me think it was a bad decision to buy it.

i mean i have more buttons on this logitec than other mouses, but still i cant bind and or use them, so that i have to bind stuff on the keyboard instead, and i dont like it.

but once again, its a good mouse

i wish i knew that the new steelseries sensei would have been released like 2 weeks after i bought the logitec

SteelSeries-Sensei.jpg

well, not sure i would have bought this one either, its hard today to have real info on stuffs, everything is just marketting. from experience, now that i tested a lot of mices, i can say the steelseries ikari lazer or optical are my favourite ones, but they wont last for years, and maybe the razer deathadder should be a good choice too.

and maybe the g700 wheel isnt like the G500 ? i dont know yet, gona try to test one soon.

yeah I agree with the middle side thumb button cant bind it and when you accidentally hit it it throws you out of your game  suck bad    specially in zombies lol.  i  noticed on my friends win 7 I had to uninstall the software drivers in order to bind the outside 2 thumb keys in cod2. was a pain for a day or 2 until I figured out why they wouldnt bind

Yes the Joystick.. On the Razer you can pull it out and there 's a thumb pad , Does the same thing just a lot more comfortable and precise , plus easier to use ..

I am surprised at the comments about the Nostromo or G-13 taking some time to get used to. I found it easy and quick. The keys can be programmed to match the keyboard commands and will be in the same location. The other controls are easily set and learned. One or two games and you will have it.

It's a piece of cake to learn and you can't beat the comfort.

I bought a Razer Nosotromo gamepad  back in April  but ended up selling it. It takes time to get it properly configured and to get used to it. I didn't like the thumb button all that much. Im using a RAzer Lycosa (backlit) keyboard and I think its great. I wish, however I could find a better mouse than the Razer Death Adder I have...I don't really wanna spend a lot of cash unless I know I will be getting something better. I don't use macros and all the fancy extra buttons and I find that configuring mice could be kinda difficult at times. I need to find a smoother, easy to use mouse...any suggestions? Thanks

I use a Kensington Trackball.
