I lived in New Brunswick for 5 years...jeez the price of a 24 was the same as yours...$40 to $45....ridiculous... However, I buy my German beer (5%) from the local ALDI at an equivalent price of around C$25 per 24 bottles (33cl each). Beer taxes here are too high.
