It's just a thing some kids have to grow through in my opinion, and the music industry has been making HUGE money out of it since I guess the 50's and rock n roll hit the main stream - back then it was the same thing as today .. shocking and not understandable to the previous generations ... in UK late 70's - hardcore punk .. concerts fighting and spitting on each other "fuck the establishment" we're gonna live our lives blah blah blah .. then Skinheads, fuck everything ...glue snifiing, fight starting, racist to the core ... Again .. shocked and worried the previous generations and so on .. there were always fights, stabbings, murders, gangs etc etc ... it HAS escalated for sure .. but then, there's a lot more people around these days combined with 24*7*365 news coverage

Lazlo is entitled to his opinion on any subject just as you are entitled to yours, so calling his response bullshit is in itself bullshit. Something to keep in mind would be that most of the members of this clan are middle aged men and not really too into hip-hop, so I wouldn't expect a lot of laughs or positive responses to a gangsta rap video. Notice I didn't call it rap "music" because there is nothing musical about it (my opinion like it or not). For most of us rap represents everything that is bad in society. Don't get me wrong, not all rap is bad, but gansta rap glorifies violence and disrespect for society in general. Maybe in your world, referring to friends family and co-workers as "bitch" or greeting them on the street as "sup mutha fucka" is acceptable, but in my world it isn't, and I've raised my kids to think the same way.

 

By the way, being 18 with head to toe tatoos, lots of money, banging numerous women or having tens of thousands of adoring fans doesn't make you a man, character does. Assuming MGK (aka Richard Baker) lives to our age, when his hair and the money is gone all that will be left will be those ugly fucking tatoos, dead brain cells and a burned out liver from decades of partying.

And access unlike in my younger days is just a click away. It took me 12 years to see my first playboy. So... now days just turn on the computer.

 

Desensitization is what I talk about. Watch someone get shot everyday in the head and at first it will shock you. After a few weeks if not less.. it will be just a thing. I dont want people to be so cold. I dont want all the kids to destroy their lives with this culturessssss portrayed.
