Post your old pc specs so we can see if any will work with the new pc. Do you have win7 os or are you going win8? SSDs are nice and fast for use as OS boot drive but can really eat into budget. If you don't mind waiting a few seconds for your pc to boot then skip the ssd and put more money into video card. We need to know Intel or AMD. I have an AMD 8 core 8210 overclocked to 4ghz. I know lots of people really hate AMD and their speed is slower than most Intel chips but they are cheaper also. That being said my cpu works just fine for me and I believe if AMD fails and goes out of business that will hurt all of us in the long run. If that happens Intel will have no competition and that will slow down advancements in technology and increase in prices. Motherboards are a messy group. Most people get a motherboard that has lots of extra stuff and options that they will never use on them. Really take a look at what you plan to attach to your computer and what other uses you might have like video encoding and such and pick a mobo that fills your needs. Some motherboards can cost over 200.00 and you never fully use them. I have a gigabyte 970a-ud3 for 65.00 and it covers all my needs. I want to thank those of you who put time and energy into trying to help me figure out what a new build would be, but after seeing how close my old pc is to what the new parts would give me, I have decided to stay with my old one. I mean its a 3.4 ghz anyway. I will wait till the ssd's come down in price some more and I need a car first anyway. Thanks again you just saved me about 800 that I can use to get myself some dependable transportation with.
 Awards
