The procedure to fix my torn retina was not 100%.  Still have fluid behind a small area.  They want to go back in and try again.  Im not going to.  I have limited vision in that eye due to previous catarct and having no lens in the eye.  Basically I saw fuzzy shapes in that eye.  They say the odds of the next surgery helping are slim too, so why try.  I know they want to to pay for their golf membership :)  .  But I figured I would keep everyone posted.  As soon as the freaking swelling and irritation goes away I will be able to play some.  Peace !!!!

Mike B,I have problems with my retina also.(from diabetes) I had fluid behind the retina also. They give me injections every once in a while.I had a little blood seepage on the retina and it sort of dried up and now my vision in that eye makes things look warped. But the swelling has gone down with these shots according to those type of x-rays they take. But you have a totally different situation.Yours is torn.I don't think you should go through another surgery if it is not going to do much.Good luck man.Sucks not to be able to see properly so I know how you feel.

That sucks dude! Hang in there!

--------

This reminds me of my Dad. He got an elbow in his eye in college... had a semi-detached retina. Thankfully they fixed it so he isn't blind but his eye has been an endless string of problems ever since.

Thanks all.  They gave me 3 options as far as different approaches to try and fix the tear.  One being the same surgery I just had (no way !!!).  Injecting an air bubble in the eye, which requires me to hold my head at an angle for a week and the other replacing the fluid with oil.  All of which the outcome isnt good.  So Im not gonna do any.  Just live with it and hope the eye doesnt start shrinking and  or discolor.   If it does then it has to come out.  May not happen in my lifetime, or it could happen in a year or so.  But its all good.  See you (pun intended) :) soon.
