If the track record of our government isn't enough to give cause to be concerned then we will deserve whatever we get from all this. I believe we as a people should be asking questions as to the long term usages that are planned with this technology. If we were to use it for military use and some controlled actions such as that, but the tone I am sensing from some that has posted here is, "who cares?" Are we so ready and willing to give up freedom for security? I am telling you that will NOT happen. Hxtr this is an awesome find and it makes me realize that the world of the future is being built by us right now and our children will have to live with in that world. It will be technically awesomely advanced but at a great price as they will never know the life most of us has experienced and lived without the technology they will think has always been and normal. I do not want to cross lines here but just raise some questions we need to think about with the wonder of what the capabilities we saw here in this video! They actually have a lot higher resolution now. Oh, and FWIW the US has satellites that can see even more clear and those have to look through a lot of other things including part of our atmosphere so just imagine. In this day and age this is good and bad. Good in that it has it's good uses that will save lives, but bad in that it will also be abused, like everything humans do. I guess WE should look at it as so long as we are not doing anything wrong does it really matter? While disturbing, it's going to happen regardless of what we want and is already happening. My concern is the security of this information and access. Working in IT security myself I know anything connected can be breached. My worry is these things start flying with missiles on them (oh wait that is already done too hah) and some kid jacks into one and goes on a joy flight of destruction.
