Someone posted the other day about having problems with the new update..... well I'm here to confirm that!

I have a GTX 460 and I did the update which I have NEVER had a problem with any update until now!

The 331.65 through 331.93 if it doesn't work for you like it didn't work for me you need to roll back to version

331.58!

REMEMBER  VERSION # 331.58

My screen and mouse were freezing up, I couldn't move from one monitor to the other...... it was just screwing up all the time, even when I wasn't doing a damn thing!

So, I hope this helps if you needed it!

PEACE,

Boom

Good info Boomeister.....a bricked card is a usless card..unless you're building a house...he he....

i'm still on 270.61 GTX 580 SC....updated once after that and basically it was a slide show in fast motion....oh whatever happened to Nvidia's great drivers....i heard they split up the driver division and they turned into toads

I have a GTX 560Ti and I was the one who posted about problems but have since corrected them! It took over an hour to get it all sorted out and now it is running beautifully! I had to end up rebooting 3 times before it took and became stable! I was getting very frustrated and ready to roll it back when it worked! I had to do it all manually as their program kept failing which told me there is a problem there too! If anyone encounters this same problem please post it here for the rest of us!

Did you try a "Clean" install?  Also, don't install the sound or 3D vision drivers if you do not need.  I was having conflicts between my sound card and the Nvidia Sound drivers.  Once I did a clean & custom install, everything worked fine.

Well, I'm still experiencing occasional freezing on my 460 GTX even though I rolled the driver back to 314.22.  I'm beginning to wonder if bad drivers have/can permanently damage the card.

Cat, it's more likely that there's an issue between the firmware on the card and the driver.  Try going back to the driver that's on the disc that came with the card - or the version of stock NVIDIA driver that corresponds to what the manufacturer shipped with the card.

If feeling adventurous, then start incrementing the version and give it time to see if the freezing returns.

Always perform a Clean Install even though 99.9% of the time an Express Install would do fine.

A 460 probably shipped before the better version of the NVIDIA Physx driver, and frankly, you don't want to miss out on that gem.
