Ok, I assumed the windows/Linux reference was server related.

In light of that then, what has changed since it ran properly? Apart from different hosts, I'm talking mod specific.

I think it was more of a a reference to how Windows and Linux are developed :) although with linux really does depend on what distro you use.

At the time of server move the mods were identical, a direct transfer to the new server. I think Sammy has changed some things recently though.

No it was meant as a metaphor and a bit of a cliche. When there is a problem Windows users reinstall back to the basics and do all the service packs and security updates again. Linux users find and fix the problem.

I will be monitoring logs thoughtout the evening, except during dinner and the game, and see what happens. To answer your question... nothing. Or should have been nothing. As I had mentioned in previous posts during all the different moves some server files got lost. This particular issue might have been one of them because my local copy of the file was different than the one on the server.

Please be patient.

I have some CI's every once in a while, but not soo many like before i dont mind this small CI's. Although i agree with Boom when some HIGH ping players join i do get a BIG Ci but its temp so i dont mind but im throwing it out just in case if that helps with the issue. Other than that thanks for the hardwork!

Lol got to watch those last three words, last time I used those hell unleashed some fury on me.

Being patient after this long is a hard task when you are watching your favourite server crumbling in front of you on a daily basis, but alas yes I will continue to be patient and hope for the best. :)

If... and its a big *IF*... what I am reading suggests the problem then it also happens when a players map download is redirected. So if this happens check out to see if anyone has a ping of 999, which typically means the player is downloading something. A lot or narrowing down problems requires looking at different observations, which could actually mean nothing at all, to see if there is a pattern to show where to look.

I've seen players join, go 999 then as I'm about to sort them out they pop into existence again. This is normally after a period of say a minute of there abouts. I wonder if that's related to what your saying about the map downloads? I didn't see if it was redirects though.

From my experience, linux servers run much smoother and are much easier to troubleshoot these types of issues.

Windows users reinstall back to the basics and do all the service packs and security updates again. Linux users find and fix the problem.

Maybe that's the issue.  Trying to use linux mentality on a windows server ;)   just a joke of course.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but just want to re-iterate that high ping players have nothing to do with server lag.  Connection/redirect... you may be on to something...
