Wife and I are thinking about changing car insurance companies to save some money and Geico is very cheap compared to what we pay now, I wanna see if they are cheaper because they deny most of the claiims that are filed for small little things. I never had a problem and they were usually cheaper. I only remember making 1-2 claims the entire time we were with them and both went smooth. For example, I was hit by someone else and the other person used State Farm. When State Farm was slow to pay me to fix my truck, GEICO paid me and then went after State Farm. I would likely still be with them if I was not with USAA. YACCster, BigPapaDean, Ruggerxi and 1 other 4 Awards

They are great until you need to file a claim. Most of the time they will barter with you and settle for a small payment and talk you out of filing a claim. I have statefarm. I've never had a problem with my one claim. (totaled car, no collision, full liability though) I've also done things like have them pay for a new windshield when it was cracked by a rock. Only cost my $100 after all said and done. hxtr 1

I pay 6 months at a time so Esurance naturally tried to jack up my rate after the 6 months. I switched to Geico, they were cheaper and did not penalize me for the fender bender even though the repair cost for the other car were over $2K. I have had Geico since mid-2012 and have not been able to find anyone with the same level of coverage for cheaper. Thankfully have not needed to file a claim but I have a minor brush off the rear bumper that I intend to have them fix. For public reference I will update this thread on my experience. From what my friends have told me if your claim is less than $500 they don't jack up your rates or try to find ways to deny your claim. Awards

Fucking knock on wood, I don't need another crash or ticket.. Awards
