Great. FFS!

More changes in the Windows Anniversary update, due August 2nd, are being discovered. After yesterday's news about Cortana not able to be turned off in the Windows Anniversary update, certain registry entries and group policies have been found to be updated with a note stating that they only apply to Enterprise and Education editions. Win 10 Pro users will no longer be able to turn off policies such as the Microsoft Consumer Experience, Show Windows Tips, Do not display the lock screen, and Disable all apps from the Windows Store.

It has the potential to be a great OS. but Microsof't's bullshit shenanigans really piss me off. It's MY PC, not Microsoft's.

Wow... that is BS. Thanks for the info Astronomer. They can do what they want with 10 unlike 7. I am sticking with 7 till PC's are dead.

Anyone that has upgraded has 30 days to go back.

I have messed around with Windows 10 enterprise edition on a spare hard drive and have tweaked a few of the group policies to see what was possible. You could disable most of the windows 10 features such as cortana, telemetry, windows updates and much more. I still disliked the OS after all of it and formatted the hard drive

I also seen somewhere that shortly people on Windows 10 pro have the option to upgrade to enterprise but it can be a bit complicated. You still need a valid licence key.

Guess again on doing what they like with Windows 7. Some of the recent patches and updates added the same sending to Microsoft of info that Windows 10 does. Also that infuriating Windows 10 nagging adware.

I am just figuring out how to disable some of the "features" in W10. It can be a real bandwidth hog. Other bs like automatically setting the last printer you used as the default. Total horseshit.

Crap. well I don't update any of my machines with Win7 past the sp1 it came with. I only add the items I need like .net 4.5. As for my customers... they have their updates turned on. :(
