I was getting impatient trying to get her to notice the ring lol. She didn't let us down with her reaction. He's a great young man, husband and father to my granddaughter. We are proud of both of them. A week before this night my son-in-law called me at work, he asked me to meet him after work. I offered to buy him a coffee at the local Tim Horton's. He suggested we just meet at the old school parking lot. I told my coworkers I thought he might ask to have my blessings to marry my daughter. I got in his truck....he was nervous as hell! He passed me the ring box and asked what my thoughts were about it. I told him "You are going to make that girl very happy" I told him "I am very proud of the man he was/is. I was proud of the people he and my daughter have become". In this day and age it is refreshing to see the young people with morals, respect for each other and sharing that respect with others.
