Exactly my question.....just last week so many people wanted to see some new maps.  After playing only about 4-5 maps in today's earlier rotation, they've already complained.  Many of the maps further into the rotation were ones that haven't been played on this server in over a year, and just 3 days ago Loco and I were discussing some of those very maps that we felt should be put into the rotations.  I know it's difficult to please everyone, but people really need to give things a chance first if they want to see new stuff.  Otherwise, those of us testing maps and working on the rotations could be just wasting time.....

i totally agree i think we should play different maps but if anyone complains like they did this morning i have no choice but to change rotations

i went in server this am and asked  5 people said not like rotation other did not say anything i asked if they wanted it changed same 5 said yes

the same rotation was put in about 6 months ago and it was a good response this time it was not

and yes your right i cannot please everyone so i go with the majority

and just so that you know it takes at least an hour to replace or put a rotation in so its not something i would willing do just on one persons say so

My two cents,

This 'everyone' then just decided that every other player than can do so only on the weekdays, or maybe too busy with work, with no opportunity to reach their own conclusions had no voice. Hardly a majority. Now others might not even know these maps were there.

I suggest put the rotation back... or I will tonight if time isnt available... and let everybody decide not just 5 people that for all we know complain about anything new.

There is a difference between doing what a few players want vs the good of the server in the long term. The good of the server is paramount but that is not the same as kowtowing to a few players that complain after even a single day. Imagine if I took out the car after one day, which most people hated in the beginning. Perhaps I should have done what they wanted immediately and took out out. Nobody else would ever have had the opportunity to try or even know about it.

If these people want to feel what its like for everyone else I will simply shut it down for a couple weeks because 5 people hate it and then say too bad. Whoever these people are decided for you.

I will say this, I like the current rotation and I'm calling out my XI bud @overkill as the only one I heard that said the previous rotation was bad.  I am on the record here that whatever map is on right now is the BEST MAP EVER!

HK. Yea thats a great map.

I invite anyone that pushed to change the rotation to convince everybody else that doing so, before anybody else had the opportunity to try, was the right thing to ask for.

Starport I am pretty sure was made for the Star Wars mod and most of those maps have problems. This one didnt seem to. But only way to know for sure is for a server with many people to play it. Also after seeing the problem gives me an opportunity to see why. Might be something as simple as changing one line.
