One thing to remember with all these states legalizing pot.  It is still illegal to the federal gov.  I would pretty much expect a state like CA to take advantage of that in there fight for gun control. Those with med cards if it shows up in background checks you could be denied purchase of a fire arm.   Just something to think about since a lot of us like the shooting sports.  I’d be real careful till it is fully legal both state and federal.  Me personally not a fan of it. Doesn’t do much for me.   Give me a good drink instead

Ive never grown before and I dont smoke it either, But ive just bought some seeds for CBD Mass so I'm gonna give it a try and grow a plant or two.

I'm doing this for the wife as she has MS so hopefully the high CBD content (around 8%) and low THC (less than 5%) will help with the pain and not get her to off her face.

So any advice on growing would be greatly appreciated, I'm using the chameleon tank to start growing as its a steady 25ºC in there and humidity levels are well maintained and it has UVB in there too.

For my seedling station I have a basic 125w CFL fixture.  In my tent, where I'll veg and flower the plants, I have two 1500w King Plus LEDs (260w actual draw from the wall).  For LED the recommended wattage per square foot is 35-50 watts of actual draw, but it really comes down to the light's PAR, what height that PAR is achieved, etc. to determine the real foot print for an LED.

I had a friend who has MS and it was suggested she start smoking weed. Within a day she had no pain. Within a week she could move her fingers and walk normal.

Why in the world would you use a chameleon cage?  Get a grow tent (proper air flow (use a dryer vent to outside) and lights will keep temperature where it should be) or grow it outside if you have a private place to grow it.

I think it's great you are growing for her! I have a good friend who has had MS for years and he swears by it for the relief it gives him. Definately use these guys as a resource when you have issues or question, I am sure they are glad to help.

FYI, you may be able to buy CBD where you live. Weed isn't legal here in FL, but I was told you can by CBD oil or powder from the local headshops since it is MEDICINE and doesnt give you a high like pot does. It is also in its purified form and stronger that sparking one up. My fiance got some when we were in Nevada for anxiety, and she said it worked awesome.

It's time for our politicians to legalize pot and stop the bull shit. Here, in BC where I live, you can go to any dispensary and buy what you want: oil, seeds, joints, weed brownies,  weed by the ounce (dozens of stains),  growing lights, cannabis tinctures etc etc. I don't smoke or use pot myself, but I know first hand how beneficial it is  for people with a number of illnesses. 

And for those who are perfectly healthy and like the recreational aspect.... what's the big fucking deal? I have never heard of anyone high on pot locking himself in a hotel room and killing 59 people.

It is going to be legal on July 1, 2018. Unlike the USA it will be at the federal level which means all of Canada will be legal!!!
