COD5 Shotguns (with Grips)

I see the voting has skewed a bit since I proclaimed it a tie and decided to do nothing with the settings.

Tell you what, just like other voting around here, I'll change it if we get an 80% vote.  At least that's the plan as of right this moment.

There are folks who seem to be upset the shotguns with grip.................and many who do use it.

I have some familiarity with shotguns..............as do many others.................but the complaint seems to be the range..............

I wonder how many players ever actually used the long range round...............with the steel ball in the center of a set of 00 bucks.  It was intended to get a greater lethal distance................

If you are thinking of bird shot range on a shotgun, think again.

Frankly, if "realism" is an issue.................then STOP bunny hopping all over the place.  THAT is about as far from "real" as one can get,................IMHO.

I think we somehow need to advertise this poll. I believe if people knew about the possibility of changing the damage and distance of the pump with grip they might be more apt to vote.

I played against someone who shall remain nameless last night on a very small map. He was using the pump w/grip and the other 3 players including myself were using SMG's. No matter how hard I played he was able to beat me by 40 kills when the game ended.

The pump shotgun with grip is ridiculously over powered!

Shotguns in any iteration will always be gimped. What they make up for in crazy close range they absolutely lack in mid to long range engagements. Nerfing them is pointless in my opinion, they are fine where they are; and no I don't use them.

That being said, sniper rifles with scopes could really use a buff. I'd argue removing the sway would be a good start.

For sure, but I'm not afraid to admit they ABSOLUTELY need an improvement. Based on the significantly accelerated speed of the mode and INSANE fire rate + hit of the machine guns/smgs it only makes sense to put them in line with something like pro mod from cod 4. At the very least!!! In other words, remove the sway mechanic entirely!

Removing the sway would bring the snipers up to par, Have'n fun with em of late, plus i wasnt using the grip Crow, i wont lose my bomb squad perk.....Those damn betties >:{
