My guess is your sound output is incorrect. First in game to to options under sound and make sure you have volume If that's all ok bottom right of your screen you will see the speaker icon. Right click on it and select open sound settings. At the top is output and a pull down box change the selection to another choice my guess is choose teh one that does not have high def in it .
