My mom (82 years old) was given an InstaPot a couple of years ago for Christmas.  But she says it has too many buttons and is too confusing for her and she has some bad trauma from a pressure cooker blowing up in her house back in the day.  Anyway, she gave me the InstaPot and I am really liking it (and so is my wife because I'm doing more cooking).  I'm wondering if anyone has some great recipe or ideas for the InstaPot that you recommend.  So far I have done mainly soups and spaghetti and both have come out great.  Open to other ideas of your favorite uses/recipes.

The one I have will do regular slow cooking as well as the pressure cooking.  So far I have only used it for the latter but I have been pleased with how things turnout.  Soups come out great with soft vegetables and meat is extra tender.

You mean one cup of water for each cup of rice?

That's a bit less water than my wife uses in her rice cooker, but I guess with it under pressure maybe less is needed in the InstaPot.

I'm not on Facebook, but I'll check out the InstaPot app.  Thanks for the tip!

Yep, 1 cup rice to 1 cup water. I belive you're correct; it takes less water than a rice cooker
