Cod2 CTF is the best. Would love to get a monthly match setup.

Hey guys wahoo4 here, I was a very old past member, I'm looking to come back and reunite with the community new/old. HornyHeather, ADORK and I have been trying to gather as many of the old XI members and those of us who had played COD2 years ago together. I had played COD2 as a XI member for a lot of years. When COD W@W came out, I played heavily, eventually I got very hard core into a vanilla bolts only around that time. I tried to get a bolts only server going on XI, but there just was no interest with XI members. So around that time, I gravitated towards bolt only servers, and I simply moved on playing in a very competitive group. After 13 years playing nothing but FPS shooter, I completely moved on to other games. I started my first MMO, Battle Star Galactica online, then got heavy into Star Wars Old Republic, then Diablo 3, and finally what I've been playing since closed beta Path of Exile. I still play PoE if anyone wants to join me or create a channel in TS. So that's the low down on what happened to me. I would love to come back and play some DM on COD 2, 4, W@W which are my favorite. Hope to reunite with ya all. -wahoo4

I would just like to say Thanks to Loader and all that make this event happen. And to loader for all the help in getting my game to run. These are the kinda of things that make so Proud to member of this great family. I don't even treated this nice by my own family . Thank you to everyone that came along this weekend and thank you for all of the good feedback about the server; it's great to see that it was well received and I'll keep it in mind for when Loader and I get rolling on the next event. I'll make a new post regarding the feedback to this when I get some sleep - it is 5.30a.m here and I haven't slept. There are a few ideas I would like to put forward regarding new events. I just want to say that the main purpose of this event was to remember our fallen members, which I am sure we will all do so in our thoughts and prayers. Forever in our hearts and minds.

Great to have you all come around! Loader and I worked hard on that one, but I am happy that it went well! The server is not only for the memorial event though, I am hoping to host other events on there. Perhaps CTF on the last weekend of every month? (let me know please!)

Thanks for putting it together @loaderXI & @PainKiller. I know it takes a lot of hard work and rotation/settings testing. The map rotation and game types were on point and a blast! COD2 CTF is still my favorite game slightly over freeze tag. COD2 is the game that got most of us playing on the XI servers. Later to suck us into our chaotic happy world we know as our clan. Many of you I have met and call friends. Glad to see old peeps playing again as always. Rest easy fallen members.

THIS IS CURRENTLY IN DISCUSSION SO THIS MAY OR MAY NOT ACTUALLY BE A THING! Morning/Afternoon idiots! Firstly, thank you everyone who came to the event over the weekend to remember our fallen members! It was a blast and it was great to see some of the older members turn up and not just the regulars of CoD2. Was great fun all around. I wanted to gauge the feedback though. What went well and what didn't, that's all. The reason being is that I would like to put forward an idea to you guys. Something that I've been meaning to do for some time now. Monthly CTF! Yes, monthly CTF. The CTF was a huge success over the weekend, an all around great time by all. How would you people be if I were to have a weekend dedicated every month to CTF? Perhaps the last or the first weekend of the month? It's requested a lot and we never seem to do anything about it. There's no point in making these events if there's not much interest which is why I am here now. This kind of idea has always been drifting around for some time but I want to actually make it a thing. We owe our roots of >XI< to CoD2 and CTF and I'd be more than happy to revisit all that with you fookers. What do you feckers want? I am also very happy to hear that the weapons were enjoyed all around. Especially shotties only or pistols only. I want to see if we can bring those into both TDm and CTF, mix it up a bit. There's only so much bunny hopping most of us can take! Any changes will likely not be done until the new year! Lets just unwind for a little! The Event server is still open for business should anyone want to play on it before anything changes!

Dude, how the hell do you have a temp. of 103 & a lymph node the size of a tennis ball & even have to entertain a passing doubt of whether an allopath is in your immediate future? Like in any other business transaction, you must be your own advocate, & a strong one @ that. There are, like in any other field, people who run the gamut from excellent, all the way down to absolute shit. Don't let the shitbags discourage you from taking care of yourself.

I don't think that the Panzerfausts will work to be honest. We have flamethrowers on DM and they can lag the game to all hell - I have no clue what the panzerfausts will do. But, I can give it a go. If I want to bring CTF into the TDM server it will have to go to a voting system where you can vote for either CTF or TDm BUT that is something I haven't looked at. There is a map vote system but not sure on mode vote. I am not sure if people will be happy with a random CTF map coming up because some players will just come in for CTF, some for TDM which is why the event server will be used for all the CTF stuff.

I know right, the lymph node swelled in one day and that is what made me go to the hospital immediately. I have always been known to be stubborn and a hard head, just my nature.

We will always need doctors, nurses, cops, firefighters and whatsoever. Me, being a psychiatric nurse with the license to prescribe medication to patients, as well as take the decision for them to be institutionalised or not (often by 'force'), I sometimes as well make the wrong decisions (thankfully not a lot), no matter how much hours of thought I've put into it. The 'fragile' thing about our work is, that whenever you make a misstake, the consequences are often way worse and more visible than in other jobs. It reamains 'people work' (sounds better in Dutch) and where there are people working, misstakes will be made. Being a professional, you should always strive to make no errors at all, improve your knowledge whenever you can and keep evaluating actions that you took. Glad you're doing better!

If it is the steam version of the game, Right Click, Properties, Verify Game Files. Something along those lines. It will scan the game against the version Steam has and if you have any missing files, it will redownload them for you. Usually those two files come installed with the game. Have you moved anything about or made any changes to the game at all?

Hop in the server today and pull the map packs and work out any impure clients should you have any Also would suggest to all to change their hunk megs to 512 C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\28\players\your game name and open config_mp with wordpad you may have to give yourself permission to change by right clicking file/properties/security/edit/apply/ok seta com_hunkMegs "512" Hope to see you all there and as always a Special Thanks to @Painkiller>XI< for his much needed help in setting and tweaking this event up !
