I've been on the XI site for 7 years and I'm finally getting to the intro. My real name is Duffy, so I get confused sometimes when playing with Duffy>XI<. I'm also 55 years old and love whiskey, so I just get confused sometimes anyway. I live in SC with my family and work as a developer - primarily web dev, but work in VR and other technologies. I was a member of DPG clan until recently. I left the clan because I hadn't played on their servers or participated actively in 5 or 6 years. As soon as I discovered Freeze-Tag servers in COD4 (F4H and a couple others before I found XI), that was where I played. It's always been my preferred mod for FPS (years ago, I was a member of a MOHAA Freeze-Tag clan, BUR). This game and this server are all I play now. Don't have a lot of time for gaming and I'm a Mac user, so not a lot of options either. I guess that's all I got for now. See you in game (or likely not, which is why I get killed often)!

I've been roughly counting for the past couple of days (so that's a LOT of hands dealt haha!), the dealer gets 21 on somewhere between 1/3 and 1/4 of his hands against me. I take this from some website: Final Hand Odds for Dealers Here are the odds for the final hands that the dealer will make: Natural 21 – 4.82% 21 (3+ cards) – 7.36% 20 – 17.58% 19 – 13.48% 18 – 13.81% 17 – 14.58% 16 – 28.36% So 12% for a 21. He gets it 2.5 to 3 times more on his hands against me - and the figures above don't even include the times he busts, so we're definitely above 3. Conclusion: dealer oinks hacks. We will need a lot of hacks oinks to beat the fucker.

The amount of 21 he gets is just inconceivable. I mean, literally. I don't think my brain is able to process this kind of information, that defies all laws of logic and probabilities. Same goes for the amount of 2 or 3 I receive when I go for a Double Down. Oink.

Microsoft has been slowly rolling out updates to the Windows Desktop Manager for full screen optimizations. Thy wanted to do it gradually to avoid any performance issues. More than likely a recent Windows update probably made a change to the WDM that did not work well with your driver. Because of these gradual updates it is important to keep your graphics drivers updated. Glad you got it fixed.

crystal isles is back up and running with mods so it's now compatible with the other servers so you can transfer all items across all servers now it's also test trialing a mod called auction house where you can buy and sell practically anything in the game

Well guys finally cracked it. I uninstalled the driver and used windows driver then the game crashed differently so thought may be the graphics driver even though I had the latest. So updated again changed it win 7 compatibility mode (that I've used before) but the thing I've never clicked on is the 'disable full-screen optimisation' and hey presto. I'm sure i've never had that checked in the past and I don't know why the game started to crash and lock up my computer. But stable so far. Thank you everyone for your help really appreciate it.

Thats normal to a lot of people. Games do it since day 1. Crashing when it has to exit the game to download a map is also normal to most players. This happening to many people all at once is rare. It is however very annoying to figure out. I would try look at what compatibility setting you have your game running on and switch it. So if your using xp service pack 2 try windows 7. or visa versa.

@GhostfaceJimand I'll set the fish to spawn in a certain region later on today I did notice when I tested the server they group fairly fast

These are the 2 mod folders I'm referring to. The first being the mod from the game, the second mods folder being where the player data is stored. If I were having trouble with a mod, I'd delete the mod in the mods folder directly under CoDWaW and let the game download it again.

right now it seems our redirect is down, That's why the slow download speeds. So everybody knows its nothing they did. All of a sudden this is happening to a lot of people. I'm trying to figure out why.

Tis our COD5 life. It's a quirk while running mods and custom maps which there is no fix, at least none I'm aware of. As @AthenA noted, just best to not touch any keys or click anything in between map changes. I have all the maps and still does it to me occasionally.

Good day all, To add a little mix, I have changed over DM3 to a straight TDM server running on the openwarfare mod which has lots of options. Map rotation at this time is the stock maps and here is a summary of the gameplay: - Ranked mode with power-up - No voting - server settings are a mix of DM2 and FT with respect to speed and gravity and a few other things - Kill streaks: 3 radar, 7 artillery, 10 dogs. These are set to not announce to the apposing team. - nothing special with weapons, left most as mod stock - 3 rounds of play, 12min rounds, rotate after each round. Other idea is to just run 1 round/map for 20min, DM style, then rotate to next map. - no teamkill monitor - health regenerates over time but can pick up health packs. no bandages. - explosives set will disappear when killed - added and extra for smoke. typically smoke is up for about 10 secs. the mod tweak puts it to approx 25sec. - added weapon tweak. This tweak is meant to make weapon behavior in game a bit more realistic. I have not used this before so not sure what that all entails.
