From the Steam Launcher, right-click on the game from the Library and select Properties from the menu. Select the Installed Files tab and click Verify integrity of game files... Steam will verify the game's files. This process may take several minutes.

Good evening folks, Just passing this your way but I am going to try a couple of things in the server as a trial I want to look at fixing the issue we have with Auto Balance. Currently, the server sets people into teams as soon as they join the server, and then scrambles it again in the next map; auto selecting peoples teams, even the spectators. What this means is that the server will try to auto balance spectators. The idea that I propose is to turn off the team auto-select, meaning that you can now choose your own teams. This stops the server from giving you a team automatically, and it should then stop the auto-balance not moving people around. However, there is a down-side to this; this will invite team stacking. People want to play with their mates, which is great and all but it can end up with teams being 6-4 etc. I would like to think that people have the decency to still choose auto select. To combat this inevitability, the server will check every 15 seconds if the teams are balanced and if not, it will move someone. Again, if it moves someone and they move themselves back to where they used to be, I will warn you. If you do it again, I will kick you. It may end up moving people all the time, but this is something I want to try out at least. This will be live for tomorrow, and will run for tomorrow to see how it goes. I have also added some new sniper maps to the server, which will break it up a bit more because I was using old maps from old rotations. Hope to see you all tomorrow!

The Steam version of COD5 will not work in multiplayer. It will tell you to create an online profile and then it will just error out or some such. I found this back when I came back to COD5 a couple of years ago. I couldn't find my CD/key, so I purchased the game on Steam and figured all would be okay. No. Did not work. Googled. Yup, it's a known thing. Contacted Steam for a refund on the basis that I wanted to play online and the game is, for whatever reason, unable to do that. A refund was issued. Thankfully I found my CD key, but not the CD itself. @Merlin007, you may recall sending me an iso of the COD5 disk. I installed from that iso, entered my valid CD Key, and (after installing all the updates) was back up and running. If you do not at least have your original CD Key, I don't know how to get you around this, Dean. I was lucky enough to have located my Key. I have it stored in my password manager, along with many other activation keys, in a "secure note".

I bought 7 rotisserie chickens for $35 early this month which for food prices today that's the Hack. 7 already cooked chickens for $5 a piece and it's been great. Can't beat the prep and server time which usually is grabbing a cold chicken and eat it. One chicken last I for 3 days and 4 days for my dog. idea one... Rotisserie Chicken Cheese Tacos Prep time and cook time was about 10 minutes but I was goofing off while cooking so it could have taken much longer. Heat up some corn or flour tortillas. Heat up the rotisserie chicken. Add authentic Mexican style Velveeta cheese (hahahaha) or whatever cheese you have, then melt it in. Fold so it looks cool for the picture. Closeup on the plate before smothering it with love. Add your favorite hot sauce, be liberal for once only. Then top with with just a touch of sour cream. Be a bit more conservative here than I was. My knife slipped a few time. Make mine, Sour Cream Smothered Rotisserie Chicken Cheese Tacos Then eat... be fat and happy till next time.

Is this a Steam copy? Steam would update/patch automatically if that is the case as far as I know, I'm not familiar with how Steam manages games and installs. Outside of that, if it's a legit CD copy, those patches should work.

There were some that had dislike for me. I play with perk that allow hear enemy chat and would hear toxic remarks or discuss recording demo. saying Im a hack or glitch because of my playstyle. I continued playing and the spectators using different names didn't bother me. I have no issue with speaking to admin and streaming my gameplay. If you don't want me to play here I have no issue accepting that. I played here because I enjoyed the server with no intention to ruin others fun.
