He was in good spirits but his leg is in a terrible mess. The muscle of his right calf had been ripped off when he hit the crash barrier when the accident happened and he`d had muscle taken from the left side of his back and grafted onto his leg. The leg bone hasn`t knitted and he has no feeling in his foot and is in a certain amount of pain. He thinks he will lose the leg evetually. For a guy that has been in an accident of that severity he is remarkably chirpy. I took him in a get well card and put on it that you all sent your love and good wishes for a speedy recovery, he was over the moon to think you`re all thinking about him. I just spent a few days in a hospital as room mate to a police officer in training who shot himself in the leg with a .45. His leg looked no where as near as bad as Savages yet the pain he endured was brutal. I simply cannot imagine what is going on with Savage.
