Camping, I don't like it, almost never do it, and could be worked around with a longer spawn protection maybe? Just an idea... As the ace-mod server is very succesfull, spawning in the back of the guy that spawned a second before you at the same spawnspot is not an exception in a small map with 20 players.... To me it takes no skill to run and gun all over the map. I like to take my time and move into a spot where I can zap you and then move on to a new spot. I do not like spawn camping and try to stay out of the spawn, but in the freeze tag mod it is done all the time. I hate that but it's part of the game. I get the most fun two ways while playing freeze tag. 1. Using tactics to sneak up and unfreeze my team mates, a type of camping,. 2. To hide in a nice spot and blast your ass after you make all this noise running past me. I am sorry, but to me using your brain, tactics, is a lot more fun the run and gun. It's a personal choice of game style.. But there's always a but lol: It's almost impossible to camp in cod4 ace mod without being next to, in, or on around a spawn, Hell sometimes I just stand there and let them empty there 2 clips into me , I would probably say something like that's really nice , then they respond I didn't know just spawned LOL: The one I like is when people say "how did you know I was there " Gee people camp in that same spot every game duh: LOL: Now I mostly run and gun like an idiot, and yes I know I shoot spawner's,, almost impossible not to with the speed of the game. But when I come up to someone who just spawned and is NOT MOVING shoot a few rounds nothing I will keep moving, But if he throwing nades or C4's or moving he far game spawn or not he's in the play. But I admit sometimes when there's only 6 to 10 people and you're the only one running gunning it can be frustrating, But that's the choice.. Oh yea don't we all love the revenge spawn .. I guess you have to keep finding new places to camp or hide with the right view so when someone is coming to you or by you, you can kill them with out them seeing you. Hummm Now i know most of you in here are cod players, I dont know the cod maps very well, I play crysis every day, i only play Cod's once and a great while, so I cant say much about playing cod maps. I am talking about play crysis wars here. and camping is kinda frowned on. most people dont like it, and when you play run and gun maps you are useing your brain none stop, you have to think a head of the game so you are ready for what might be around the next coner. you are moving fast so you have to think fast, reaction time is critical. This to me is NOT in the spirit of the game. Tactical play: this means running, using the dead ground, the occasional stop to seek out and shoot, then continue advancing in this manner. This is battle tactics (I should know after 25 years tank service and various encounters including Kuwait) Running and spraying: fun but suicidal, but at least they get out and have a go! Finally: the knifers (Bigmeandean :-} my hero!) love this type of player, and just wish I could do it, alas my connection speed wont allow it, have tried but useless!!
