Steam sucks, if I buy a game why should I have to be tied to this crap ( I did know that coming in) But not impressed 2. How do you manually put a server IP in on the server browser....guess I am to lazy to read up, but why should I have to on something so basic? 3. when available how do I pick / change weapons for the custom slots? I really like the game so I am willing to put up with whatever it throws at me. Our servers are empty quite a bit, sometimes they play fine for hours and then someyimes they crash every other map. When they crash people go to a different server instead of rejoining ours. Someday they will get the bugs worked out and it will be an awesome game. Remember COD5 took 7 patches. The only thing that I like about Steam is that it does the pathches automatically. You don't have to search some where to down load it from and then down load it and then install each patch. Steam does do that for you. Not much help, but some. You have to prestige (Level 50) in order to unlock the customs. Once you do find our servers in the list or have a game invite, then save it to your favorites. It should stay there, but I have heard on occassion that it doesn't. Good luck, don't get discouraged, it is just another hurdle we have to cross. And it can be a pain in the ass. I didn't start playing online games until COD5. Just never had the interest, always working. After working 80 hours a week for 25 years, it took it's toll on me. So now I have all of the time I want. Not by choice. I am 52 and disabled. So I think that all of that hard work wasn;'t worth. Maybe it would of been if I was getting paid better. I could never get into COD2. To me it is like playing cartoons. Look at the graphics for the same map, between COD5 and COD2, there is no comparison. COD5 is way better, but to each his own. BUT, it is so much fun if you give it the chance. What you lose in graphics you gain in speed and reaction time, and it can be real fun with a large group. It's so cheap now that it is easy for anyone to have it and have a bit of fun from time to time. I have BO and haven't loaded it yet. That's where you wrong...I have repeated this many times...all you have to do is hold down ESC buttom between map changes so you DON'T crash..and if you do crash..is cause you don't have the map...It only takes five seconds and you are back to playing...less than a CI in BO...At least we don't have to pay for maps....GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.. COD2 IS A GREAT GAME..you talk about cartoon like maps...Give me a break...B O overall play and graphics is like been stuck in a Batman comic book..Whammm...Kabooom..."CRASH".....and another thing..You will find friendly people in Both 2 and 5..willing to talk to you...Whats with this game..you like robots in there nobody talks..nobody has fun...is like you all out there just trying to be better than each others..and forgat about interacting ....which in my eyes is what makes gaming "FUN".... you will need more than a CI fix....for this game to be Good... But 2 things I am XI and I want to play on XI servers, most of the time they are empty I think the problem is people don't know what to do if the servers do not show in the browser Go to the XI web site write down all the black op IPs start the game and go to the game browser hit the tilda key to bring up the comand line type connect 173.199.104.221:3074 foe example hit the enter key and it should try to connect to that server once it does you can save it to your favs and it will be in your favs in the game browser next time you want to play. The next bitch I have is now everybody is using new maps I gota fork over another 14.95 to these steam assholes for a map pack Gimmie a break, forked over 60.00 for a game now they rape me again......sucks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
