I have yet to reproduce the problem of not being able to shoot other players so its unusual. I can only assume maybe its a certain combination of things causing it.

 

If you know, when it happens are there any perks/weapons that always part of your loadout? The player that couldnt be shot, did he recently use some kind of streak weapon? A few of them do set a spawn protection flag so the players cant be damaged while in them (ac130, Predator etc). But when finished the flags should be shut off.

 

edit: Yes the RC had problems. Should be fixed now and will be doing more tests on it today. afaik the only remaining thing that  might cause a server lag in the current mod is if semtex is stuck to a player. Caused by a timer conflict between throw time and stick time.

The best I have been able to figure out is the person with 250 ping can have a ALOT better recognition than the one with 50. I dont know if anti lag is enabled or what the settings are.

 

Here is a shot of the lagometer FYI that I took, while pinging the server on a  seperate pc I had no packetloss and stable ping.  But the red is packet loss correct?

yea im havin high ping spikes between 12pm est time and 2pm then again bout 5pm est time to bout 8 every other time im runnin between 37 and 52 ping during the times i mentiond im getting bout 100-150 i just dont get it ive never ever had this issue b4 and during my high ping times im getting 2mb / sec download speed while running my game and testing my speed on firefox at same time guess that why i dont get why i am having this issure my core temps and video card temps are normal i got 2gb video card as well as 4 gb of mobo ram with 3.2 quad core processor if any one can help me solve this issue would be greatly appreciated

That happens even when the map is just starting. But i found it happens more often in close combat when people are bunny hopping than when we're in a long distance. If the ennemy have no move, the kill is almost good but when he moves just a little bit I know i'll use my entiere charger to be sure cause half of bullets do nothing.

THANKS for the update, many killstreaks problems have been fixed (gas, rc car). About the knife there is a strange thing since the last update, sometimes the way to kill is different (movement of the knife) and it works worse than before Undecided

Hate the car, you can't kill the person when they are changing, people tell me you can actually kill the car, never happened for me even though yesterday i stood virtually on top of it while it was defrosting and emptied a full clip into it, i don't think it has added anything to the mod at allFrown

Something must have changed Rugger, the gas don't cause  damage anymore yet just last week it was, it is just like purple smoke now.

We can't have the night vision on the server since this morning, i dunno why... Undecided No one can put the night vision

In this thread or another I think Rugger said that novagas was shut off. I might be mistaken. Nothing has been changed about the knife but I think the default aimbot was turned off in the server configs. Without it melee is pretty tough.

 

Shooting the RC is fixed. The sentrygun will go after it now also. But since the RC is low to the ground and can be mighty fast its not a guarantee. I'm not sure I understand the question about 'changing', do you mean while the player raises and activates the laptop etc but before he can drive around in the RC?

 

Assuming no more bug reports in the next few days we can finalize what we have now for a beta.  Cool

lag spikes when someone has a air drop, say like the bombs

more then 3 rc cars

more so the stuff that would make a server spike and others lag

The smartbomb locator can pause a little in between choosing targets depending on how hard it is to hit. It must find an open path that guarantees it will reach it. So if for example you place the target in the courtyard inside the building in Vacant it will find a way but calculations might take a second or two. Its not lag and does not affect anyone. Just a lot of complicated math and hit detection to find when and where to drop the bomb from. Until it has successfully found the path you cannot choose another. In the unlikely event that it cant find one at all it will tell you and ask you to try again.

I have a question, and I think you have done a great job Sam. Besides all the issues you are looking into can the volume of the car be turned down?

 

I have done quite a few mods in the past and if you have a chance to add it in it would be great. Maybe its my PC but there is no "direction" to the sound it is impossible to hear where the car is at. Without asking for anything too much coding wise can the sound file just be a lower volume?

 

You get a couple of these going and that is all you hear. Hope that makes sense Wink

Yes I reduced the max range of the RC to around 1000 game units radius or so.

Before we do anything with that lets see how it all works with the fixed hit detection and all of that.  The trigger watcher and damage watchers are started at the same time so there is no advantage that way. Until that time the player cant blow himself up. But I think I will try a little change and see if freezing the player/rc before its fully activated will work. The RC is a 3-kill in Black Ops so we figured its best to stick with that.  Cool

About the classes... I have changed my attachment from silence to laser... Before to put laser, i put 'none' and 'tube'... after that i lost the first perk on my class... Impossible to have c4, clay or others things on my perk 1. I just can have the noobtube or none but absolutly no other perk, i try different combinations but still nothing... Frown

Someone can tell me what's going on the MW2 server? I'm died cause a shit nade coming from no one and no where, nothing around me could launch a nade.. And one second later, I saw front of my bubble 3 team kills in the same time with a shit nade again, and there was no enemy either. Can we die with team kill on this mod? I thought that no. What a bug we had... Undecided

Unless FF is specifically enabled it is off by default. Includes both frags and semtex. Standard OW offers three kinds of FF. The normal kind. Transfer all damage to the attacker. Or distribute 50/50. Also, if you commit 3 of them in any single game you are forced into spectator and have to wait 20 seconds before you are allowed to respawn. Do it again and that increases to 40. And so on.

 

In regards to this mod nothing about that has been changed as far as player weapons are concerned. A few streak weapons allow for extra options however. But to be fair bugs are always possible anyways so if there are any common factors (both attacker and victim) I can use to recreate what happened it would help.
