Gorilla,those were some cool pics,really depict the brutallity of war.and pic of the blown muzzle on that cannon was insane,I would have hated to be near that when it happened.thnx for sharing.

Amazing photos guys, excellent find, images such as these show just how pointelss war can be sometimes, although I guess it can be the only way when 2 sides do not see the same viewpoint and a meeting of minds is made.

 

 

Poetry can bring to life the act of war on men and women also.

Man what a brutal time.Just glad I wasn't around.I remember as a kid buying civil war cards(just like baseball cards) showing all kinds of blood and guts.I mean really graphic.They only lasted a few years and then they were taken off the market.That was about in 1962(that made me 11 years old).I think the company was called TOPPS.

We must have got them sam cards Johnny really gory, soldiers stuck on spikes etc after assaulting defences, but this must have been the late 60's over here

SOB just google or yahoo civil war cards.I found them.i also remember they would give you some civil war money(phoney of course)plus some buble gum LOL.All for only 5cents.Pretty sure that was in the early 60's as I was still in grade school.
