Me and Technoboy just seeing a blank space Johnny, not a box where the video used to be like you do, right clicking is doing nothing.

From what I can tell the error is occuring only on YouTube videos with the following errors:

Chrome: Refused to display 'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8KIjHQJDJY?version=3' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.

Firefox: Load denied by X-Frame-Options:

does not permit cross-origin framing.

I have found several recent articles pointing the finger at YouTube for creating this problem. If it does not resolve itself in a day then I will have to look at changing our embedding methods.

Looks like YouTube's latest efforts to prevent embedding. YouTube does this because it goes to great expense hosting videos for free, and makes its money by people going to its web site and viewing advertising there. But allowing embedding promotes YouTube, and drives traffic back to its site. It ought to encourage embedding, not try to stop it.

Well they do provide the facility to allow us to embed so why would they try to stop us now?

They haven't stopped all embedding by any means but.. we use an older method of embedding that is no longer visible in their documentation. They are encouraging the use of HTML5 embedding and discouraging the older methods. However! I found several articles from last month where this had happened before and it was a mistake, so I will leave it for a short time before looking at upgrading.. cause tbh upgrades cause bugs and errors and its basically asking for me to break it.

Maybe we ought to get into the habit of posting a link below each movie we share on here so, if the embedding fails for

whatever reason, there is still a link to the video that the reader can follow.

PLEASE don't encourage duc to break anything else.  He's doing a fine job and breaking stuff as it is.

Changed:

<iframe id="ytplayer" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://youtube.com/watch?v=$3?version=3" frameborder="0"/></iframe>

to:

<iframe id="ytplayer" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/$3?rel=0" frameborder="0"></iframe>

which seems to have fixed it.
