I admired both when they played here in Philly. The thing is hockey is the one sport I can watch and enjoy even if y home team is out of it. Edited June 14, 2013 by Shamu

First period belonged to the Blackhawks. From the second period on into OT the Bruins stepped it up and prevailed. Bruins were very physical and I think wore the Blackhawks down by pounding them with checks. The 2-1 result good for me since I am rooting for the Bruins to take it all. If the Bruins can keep up the physical play I feel fairly confident they will win. Teams are very well matched but I think Boston has a significant edge with physical play and will wear Chicago down over the length of the series. Kudos to both goalies, both are hot at the right time. Bruins in 6. Edited June 16, 2013 by Shamu

In fact, the OT goal was one such play - Hawks player turns it over on the boards trying to break out. Both have been really good games - can't wait for the next one! Deckard 1 Awards

Seems Boston can play hard fairly consistently and Chicago tends to relax until it's too late. They cannot afford to relax tonight. If Chicago loses, stick a fork in them, they will be done.

In the Flyers days of supremacy and entertainment value as The Broad Street Bullies it was Kate Smith singing God Bless America. She brought the house down when she appeared live in the finals. At the time I was a season ticket holder, I know I shed a few tears as she sang rest assured I was not alone. http://www.flyershistory.com/cgi-bin/kate.cgi Edited June 19, 2013 by Shamu
