I can't believe I watched the whole game.

Typical playoff hockey, intense, hard hits and the refs let them play.

Unfortunately for me Chicago won. :no  :unworthy:

This could go 7.

I actually have little reason to root for the Bruins other than former Flyer  Jaromir Jagr and now retired Mark Recchi who I think is still involved with the team.

I admired both when they played here in Philly.

The thing is hockey is the one sport I can watch and enjoy even if y home team is out of it.

Another great game that kept me glued to the TV along with some family members visiting on Sat evening for Fathers Day.

First period belonged to the Blackhawks. From the second period on into OT the Bruins stepped it up and prevailed.

Bruins were very physical and I think wore the Blackhawks down by pounding them with checks. The 2-1 result good for me since I am rooting for the Bruins to take it all.

If the Bruins can keep up the physical play I feel fairly confident they will win. Teams are very well matched but I think Boston has a significant edge with physical play and will wear Chicago down over the length of the series.

Kudos to both goalies, both are hot at the right time.

Bruins in 6.

What impressed me was the play at the blue line and along the boards on the Bruin's forecheck - they seemed to dominate the outside and really prevented the Hawks from having many chances for that inside-out breakout.  In fact, the OT goal was one such play - Hawks player turns it over on the boards trying to break out.  Both have been really good games - can't wait for the next one!

As much as I like the series and root for Boston I cannot stand Rene Rancourt's caterwalling. He is simply god awful in singing the national anthem.

It's time for Rene to head off into the sunset and retire gracefully. He sounds like an old scratchy 78 RPM record.

Only good thing I can say he keeps it traditional instead of personalizing it like so many others.

Rask is one hot goalie. Crawford is also playing good but is not getting the offensive support he needs to win.

Chicago did not look to good in this one, they did not start to play until the last 1:30 of the third period.

I stay with Bruins in 6.

Expecting a good intense game tonight, Chicago knows they need to step it up to stay with Boston. Seems Boston can play hard fairly consistently and Chicago tends to relax until it's too late. They cannot afford to relax tonight.

If Chicago loses, stick a fork in them, they will be done.

The anthem at the "madhouse on madison"  with Wayne Messmer and now Jim Cornelison is the best in all sports in my opinion! Cant really "feel" it coming across the TV. but being there is something you wont ever forget.

In the Flyers days of supremacy and entertainment value as The Broad Street Bullies it was Kate Smith singing God Bless America. She brought the house down when she appeared live in the finals.

At the time I was a season ticket holder, I know I shed a few tears as she sang rest assured I was not alone.
