You will need to save up a bit more money pancakes just so you can get one that will not only play bf4 and some of the newer games coming out but also ones that will be appearing in later years. I had to look up alot of information online and ask alot of XI members what parts they recommended before i decided what to buy.

Motherboard Asus Sabertooth $152,99

Memory 8 gig G Skill Ripjaws X series DDR3 1600  $76.99

Total after rebate $559.96

That's 1 hell of a system for the money.

You may need a new power supply to just depends on what you have now.

This one is perfect but it's an extra $129.99

You won't be able to afford an Intel i5 or i7 based machine that will match the performance for under $700.

When you can afford it.I HIGHLY recomend getting atleast a 128gb Sata 3 SSD drive. They are SOOOOOOOO friggin FAST.Seriously they fully load Win 7 64 Pro with a bunch of other crap installed,in 4-7 seconds. And game maps load SUPER SUPER quick,I'm talking 2-3 seconds tops for a big 8o+mb COD4 map.

your system is way over due for a new one, not even upgrade. Save $ and get something else new for breakfast, not just pancakes.

INTEL IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO........................

Depends....I'm an Intel guy because I like to get down and dirty and overclock, and I know Intel. Nowadays, for gaming, the CPU is not as important. The GPU (video card) is much more important. If AMD is less expensive on the CPU side, go for it, and spend the max you can on the best video card that fits your budget.

Good luck!
