I had to look up alot of information online and ask alot of XI members what parts they recommended before i decided what to buy.

Depends....I'm an Intel guy because I like to get down and dirty and overclock, and I know Intel. Nowadays, for gaming, the CPU is not as important. The GPU (video card) is much more important.
