Ah Beers the tree is at least 50 years old ,I'm getting the saws all out later and see if I can get a replacement branch for it LOL.Plus you know what,I get tired of all the fucking squirrels gnawing on the pears(BARTLET) and knocking them down,I tell ya last year it was loaded the same way and ended up with only 8 fucking pears.I think I'm chopping it down after this year.Next will be the yellow jackets,they start drilling holes or something,the fruit sort of dies ,it ferments and the bees get all fucked up and then start falling to the ground barely able to fly.
