The DOS 8.3 restriction prevented me from using the full Tunnel Rat handle. A Tunnel Rat is a soldier tasked with clearly enemy tunnels, usually with just a hand gun. I've played under the T-Rat handle FOREVER. Many hours spent playing Enemy Territory online. Interesting thread - THANKS! Awards

In fact it came from my cousin who played as Captain Destructo about 10 or 11 years ago on Spearhead. (shit was it really that long ago ....) Anyway at the time I didn't have a fast internet connection (or the game) so I would play at his house as Lt. Destructo. I was a Lt since I was the noob and was depending on him to play (internet and game). Once I got the game and fast internet I decided I needed a promotion so I became Major Destructo. I kept that name for as long as I played Spearhead, which was a very very long time. Once I got to CoD4 though, there wasn't enough room to have the whole name so I became just Destructo, and the rest is history. Awards

He was cussing and throwing tools everywhere. Well about 5 min into this I knew how to fix it but waited because I did not want to look like a know-it-all and we kinda just met. So after an hour or so I asked him if I could just suggest something. He said at this point I'll take anything. Just one bolt and a twist of a cable and in 3 minutes it was fixed. Needless to say he was bullshit and said you knew this the whole time you must be a wizid....Well he meant wizard but in the state of Maine we dont really use the letter "r" in our words (hence "paak the caa in the yaad") so WiZiD stuck with me my whole life. At first I got so pissed about it but soon figured out that it was not a bad thing to be concidered smarter than my friends. Awards

Well guess I kind of admire the outlaws of our past and Belle was a pretty interesting and amazing woman. Belle Starr - "I am a friend to any brave and gallant outlaw" Born Myra Belle Shirley on Feb 5, 1848 Shot in the back and died Feb 3, 1889 THE DAY THAT THEY BURIED BELLE STARR Well Cole Younger groaned and the sheriff got stoned, On the day that they buried Belle Starr; Ol' Willard filled her in, wiped the stubble on his chin, And he told 'em all about it in the bar; In the corner of the room, of that old Texican saloon, Sat the 'Judge', with a town whore on his knee; Said, "If I ever meet the man, that shot poor Belle I'll understand, Then I'll shake him by the hand and set him free." For twenty-one years, she spread heartaches and tears, When she rode with the Youngers and the James; There was fire in her eyes, but the real reasons why, The history books never explain; She had sex, poise and grace, and it showed in her face, Say the old men who hang round the town; But that didn't get her far, just a stone's throw from the bar, Where they planted Belle Starr in the ground. Its Rugger, the gun brand has only one G in it, my name has two G's so its not pronounced the same. My name use to be Ruggerone, after the pilots of the Star Wars movies, if you watch it they all radio is Blue one check, Grey one check, etc. So I wanted a name like that so I made up Rugger. Then I started playing COD games and didnt think Ruggerone fit so I dropped the one. Again, its RUG GER not RUGER Awards

In regular play as DogBite, frequently I would get banned. I thought trying a new name may help reduce the hostility towards me in game. It not only eliminated such hostility, it stimulated banter on the servers that I visited. The only draw back... Is the name does attract some negative behavior from some homophobics out there.
