Hi all,

 

The pings tonight were fluctuating wildly. Gameplay tonight got seriously degraded because of it. My pings are usually between 40-55 when things are going fine. Even when pings looked normal, there was some serious stuttering. These 4 screenshots were taken within 5 minutes, from 10:15-10:20 PM Eastern Time, and are representative of what started after 9:00 PM.  At 10:30, 15 people are on the server and the problem remains.

I have noticed this recently, but it didn't seem to affect everyone. I put it down to the service providers of the individuals concerned.

seem server having same issue I got failing hardware ......modem finally died  after  losing packets disconnections to CO for a month

I promise its not us. We have tried everything and still it does not get better. I have a conspiracy theory and a guess. Conspiracy is its activision trying to make us quit cod and a guess is the main server is always getting a Ddos. duc thinks I'm nuts :) Wife does too but wife has tits :)-

perhaps its antilagg its supposed to even out the playing field..

 

  • ANTI-LAG Definition and Explanation:

    Its a latency-based system which uses algorithms to adjust hit registrations according to a mean average between 2 players whose latency (ping) is plus/minus 50 difference between them. It will delay the rigistration for faster connections, and speed it up for the slower one.

    In practice, in speeding up the registration, this sometimes appears like you've been hit before the player has even taken a shot. But that is only an illusion created by the algorithm used.

    Between players whose latency (ping) is not greater than a certain mean average between them, no noticable delay or speeding up is made.

    In other words, it gives slower ping players a fighting chance against players with a much faster ping. But between players whose ping is roughly the same, no such adjustments are made.

    If server admins want to reduce the amount of compensation used when anti-lag is enabled (and, it has to be said, many game industry insiders insist that anti-lag is by far and away the "fairer" system), make sure you exclude players with a ping greater than 50/60 the average player ping on your server.

  • international players on same server and this occurs -those one bar players are compensated for there poor connection so we can play nice together

  • this is how cod4 antilagg works im guessing cod5 too

No we have lag spikes and nobody is on the server.

Ok I confess I have been running a LAGG hack in an attempt to stop Skuz (and mostly everyone else)from killing me so much...........epic FAIL!

 

They still KILL me! :devil:

lol weed, so everyone else must come clean on their use of a lag hack too then! Now that the cat is out of the bag the lag hackers will get all get redirected to BF4 and the FT server will be a super awesome server again.  :happy:
