As long as I can use hardwired and hardline like I could yesterday I'm happy.

I don't get why the perks keep getting shuffled around. Afaik no one ever has a complaint about perk layouts until 1.46 was rolled out

There are always complaints. :lol:

 

So in that case one or the other has to switch with something from another tier. Which? And for what? And then who will not like that switch? Its like wash, rinse, repeat.

put the perks how they were on the last mod  those rc cars are killing us so bad

Get the countermeasures mine. When you hear a car coming throw the mine in the direction it is coming from.  It is very good at killing the cars. Then go pick it back up.

Hardwired works as before.  As for not using mines, that is your choice. The game is all about choices.

I used it myself today. Seemed to work fine. As before, Hardwired doesnt stop you from being killed because the timer runs out. If you want to kill the car you either need to emp it, with the nade or the mine, or shoot it.

As suggested in my other post:  Split out all the H perks (Hardwired, Hardline, and Hacker)....just keep Hacker and Stealth in the same tier.  I also would not put Dead Silence in the same tier as Stealth...but that may not be that big of a deal.

For me tier 3 is useless.

There is nothing in there that I would normally use

Dead silence and stealth will remain on separate tiers. Hacker and stealth must be separate also. Otherwise its near impossible to sneak up on explosives and sentries to hack them.

 

Choose gambler for perk 3 if you dont like any of the other options.

Gambler will give you a perk from any tier.

So you just want 3 random perks?

That one might be doable. Offhand I dont see any conflicts. The one problem is that most players would run around with hardline. Meaning for example more cars, care packages, and predators. Considering this the player should be required to give up a great perk he would otherwise like. Otherwise might as well just decrease every streak requirement by 1 and remove the perk entirely.

 

The later model of limiting perks by class was an interesting idea. But it had a lot more perks that broke up things like lightweight into two. Or turned stopping power into an attachment. Which in turn meant allowing two attachments because people wouldnt want to give up an enhanced sight for it. But dont just want to do that by itself. Require a perk. I forget the name of it. Gets real complicated, doesnt it.

After looking at all the perks, I think Dead Silence should be moved to tier 3 and Hunter moved to tier 1.

 

Currently tier 1 is all weapon/damage modifications, I think Hunter would be better placed there since it is a sniper weapon change.

 

Tier 3, besides Hunter, looks like all survivability. I think Dead Silence would be a better fit in that tier, and seems OP to be able to use Dead Silence and Stealth at the same time.

 

Just my thoughts after looking at them.

In general, the tiers are supposed to be in three categories. Weapon upgrades (stopping power), weapon proficiencies (sleight of hand), and special abilities (dead silence),  The idea was that you choose one of each.

 

Edit: sorry posted that wrong. Should be weapon proficiencies, special abilities, and extra equipment. Would this layout work? I dont think I missed anything or see any conflicts.

 

Tier 1: Steady Aim, Double Tap, Stopping Power, Sonic Boom, Armor Piercing, Venom, Sleight of Hand
Tier 2: Second Chance, Lightweight, Objective, Scavenger, Dead Silence, Hardline, Commando, Hacker
Tier 3: Tactical Mask, Sniper Gear (hunter), Hardwired, Combat Medic, Ballistic Vest, Stealth Gear, Flak Jacket, Gambler
