My Graphics Card Has Died And Ive Had A Spell Of Bad Luck

I use PC Nvidia PCI 3 cards all the time in old PCI 2 Macs, they just work fine.

same for me...beech..and   work fine

then future proof and $ buy a card that will use  on new hardware  while using on old hardware not getting full use of card

i have it.it works great.but it was the cheap affordable route -of course there are better but this is low power like the lowest and it plays any call of duty game with great frames.much better then my 8800 or 9800 gts/gtx....plays new game fine

well price wise these will be an improvement over what u had 

gtx 750ti starting at 139 usd

gtx960 at 220 usd

 

if you can afford the gtx960 definitely get that-

I would go for a 9xx series card,gtx950 or greater, they use a lot less power and run very cool . They are pci-e 3.0 and  they WILL run in a pci-e 2.0 slot

I run 2 970's (not is SLI), I use one for my gaming monitor and one for my other two monitors. In BF4 running everything on Ultra I average 180 FPS. Never a heating issue.
