well I thought of that!!!! gps works off of the cell towers and the reason they have them  all at strategic point I watched an antactica video  very hard to find and the guy had to

a take a snow cat and drive an hour to use a radio to contact mcmurdo base wheres the satelite there!!!

also if  noticed they just had to make a major correction on all airlines because our magnetic north is moving so much the planes were way off course again no satelites !!!

start looking for yourself research it . there is also a whole area near antartica that no plane telemetry works?????

GPS doesn't work in tunnels because of two things 1/. You need line of sight above the horizon (may not be the real one} to aquisition satellites, the more you see the better the fix and 2/. They are high frequency, only very low frequencies penetrate undeground and under the sea with systems such as Omega, if I recall correctly, that required huge aerials and power, I used this, it was a good system at the time, in case you think I'm bullshitting lol.

Mobile phones don't work in tunnels either, but in shallow tunnels they can put in a kind of transmitting system to make them work, they did this as an upgrade recently to my nearest tunnel

So neither work in tunnels strictly speaking

GPS needs satellites to work.
