We start indoors around this time of year and then when the weather gets warmer we start to take the seedlings outside in the sun or the little greenhouse we have. In early spring they have to come in at night, but later on they can stay out as long as there is no frost warning. We have been doing this for many years now and its a great hobby that also helps with the grocery bills. Here are some pictures (greenhouse pictures are from last year as we still have snow on the ground here): It's a very rewarding hobby. I have something similar with slightly higher walls. Yes, it make the job of transferring in and out much easier. My other option is that I use a small radiator type heater to keep the temperature above zero in the greenhouse. I have a wireless thermometer that keeps me informed as to the temperature in the greenhouse and also records the record high or low....so I know how cold it got overnight. major-mark63 1 Awards

Home gardening is like telling the big corporations and the government, "I don’t need you to eat!" When you grow your own food, you don’t have to rely on stores, big farms, or even paying taxes on what you grow. It’s a way of saying "no thanks" to the rules that tell you what to do and how to spend your money. You’re doing it your way, sticking it to the man, and showing that you can take care of yourself without needing their control.
