Guys, Looks like my tie's to Minnesota are going to end with the exception of a few people like Rugger, WIldthing, my cousin and uncle and 1 other buddy. I will be travelling to Minnesota to pick up my dad's car and his belongings, and the idea is to drive his car back from there to here (MD). along the way I might die, might get stranded, get raped, who the fuck knows? But if worse comes to worse, then I would hope to break down along the way to my friends in XI that could help me. Plan A is to drive back to MD in his car, if it breaks down, then I can get it shipped to MD and get a rental and come home safe. But I need to try before i spend a grand bring his car back when it would only cost me 300 in gas. So it is being planned between now and at the end of labor day weekend. If I break down, I will need some help and to ensure i dont get kidnapped and raped, and murdered. The Route is below of the states I will be driving through. I have driven this route before last year when Dad passed away, so it is nothing for me. I am just worried about his car and trying to conserve money.

If you are worried that his car might break down during your drive down, it dawned on me, do you really need that car, could you sell it up there? The other option, to have it towed down to you evidently would cost 1K or so apparently, maybe all that stress and worry isn't worth it and just sell it? 2 cents ANYHOW good luck with your endeavors!

Always caveat Emptor when shopping; due diligence for purchase price as with previous consideration of product candidates: Did a little searching & found what I thought was the best balance of price & quality, features. $30 with 10 stones. And definitely a better price than these folks who want to charge you 5X the going rate for the privilege of having their name on the bag. Anyhoo, anybody ever use this brand? How were your results?

Yes; & from doing some reading on systems, sharpening applications & principles, that's all one really needs. A super-sharp, highly-polished razor's edge is hyped in marketing, on cooking shows & in enthusiasts' sites in articles & comment sections. Anybody with a passing familiarity of knife sharpening & tests has seen the 'will it cut paper' test; it's just not what's best or practical for a knife's optimal kitchen performance. A razor-sharp blade that's been highly polished will have a thin edge that will dull quickly & require frequent honing on a steel. Many people then make the mistake of resharpening their blade instead; grinding away steel & shortening the life of their blade. A blade that's done 80-90% as sharp as possible will work much better for 2 reasons. The thicker blade will hold its edge much longer & not roll over, requiring straightening on a steel less often. Although it may not be 'sharp' enough to push through a piece of paper & shear of a piece, it will slice through food items much better due to the micro serrations along the blade when sharpened to something less than a high polish.

Thanks everyone he’s had a lot of smiles the last little while. He understands his limitations and is thankful for every day. He just loves life and family. He and mom had a wonderful day yesterday. One of my cousins every year takes mom and dad to her camp to celebrate Dad’s oldest sister’s birthday although she has been gone for many years they still celebrate her day. It is a great celebration full of wonderful memories for dad. He is the last living member of of his immediate family. They went through dozens of old pictures of the Local Lebanese community who immigrated to our area. Dad was able to remember all their names and tell old stories of days gone by in the community. He was treated like the KING he is, he is loved by all and loves all…………as long as y’all don’t wrong him lol! Again thank you all for the kind words I’ll be passing on your thoughts and blessings.
