I like my Turtle Beach HPA2 5.1. The sound is kickass but they aren't USB though.

I third the G35's. Been my fav so far. USB and good sound quality.Don't know which engineer decided to put voice morphing in them--stupid ---they should of took the xtra cost and put more bass, but still decent headphones.

I use a Steelseries Siberia V2 with a USB sound card.  Comfortable and good surround sound.  Don't know about availability in the States.

I use the Creative Fatal1ty.They are nice, comfortable and have been pretty durable, which is important.  There are 2 versions, one gaming and one professional gaming, so you can choose one for $50 or $100.  I have the cheaper ones and they are fine.

i dont agree with the usb thing.

a usb headset means it has its own sound card, and for that price, its just garbage

if u want to get a suround headset better go with real 5.1 or 7.1 directly from your soundcard, u'll get better sound

usb isnt fast enough for real 6 or 7 different channels, so u'll lose quality, but yea for gaming u may wont hear the difference.

also if u really want a surround one, go for the build quality, because most of them use cheap materials that will broke very fast.

best is : get a decent sound card and real 5.1 headset not usb

Well I tried the corsair usb HS1 headset and had problems with them, I had rma them and they are going replace them with the Analog ones , The software with the usb ones it wasn't compatable with my controler software, Plus the software that comes with them is that great, no better then the on board C-media software,  And they are not that great with glasses,

But I'm stuck with them till I find something better, when and if I can afford it.

Blackbart - What headset to get
I bought a new headset yesterday because my old cheap one died...I have used this one now for a day and my ears feel like they  have been punched. Well, I think all new headphones are gonna hurt your ears for a while, and still hurt after wearing them for hours and hours. I also wear glasses and bought a set of Steelsound 5Hv/2's which are now a few years old, and they are pricey, I got mine at a 100 bucks on sale!

But I have prefect sound, its been said, I can hear a T-Rat fart at a hundred yards Tongue out

My problem is the POS onboard Reltec sound card I have on my Evga P55 FTW MOBO, that loves to drop sound whenever it damnwell feels like it hahaha...
