I use my PS3 to stream media to my TV (via HDMI cable). For now, the PS3 is my media extender. I have a miniDLNA media server installed on my Compaq ProLiant server (running linux based OS) in my basement which the PS3 can see and access my media files. If I want to watch a video that is on a PC, I just dump it onto my server and stream through the PS3. We also have Netflix too that we watch via the PS3.

I use a Roku for most of my streaming stuff along with a HDMI from my laptop to the TV. Works really well for me. Roku has other channels as well with all sorts of content. There are even ways to get pr0n on your Roku.

I know got a payserver , for 7,50 euro's (10 bucks) each month, i dowload evrything i wan't , and if its illigal they have to take that with my payserver and not with me, last two years i burned over 500 dvd's , and i got 5 terrabyte's on Dvd's, and 2 terrybytes on HD-movies. But i don't sell them , that's why i'm not illigal.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone that uses the Roku. Is it worth the $100?

wow...people are so complicated lol....

If you have older than a 2 yr old video card you will either need a VGA cable(the blue headed cable) or you will need a DVI cable(the white headed one) The DVI will look like it has a plus sign on it. Once you have one of these cables whichever your video card uses, then just plug it from your video card on the back of your pc and then plug it into your tv on the back. Keep in mind, you must have a newer tv that has the VGA or DVI connections or it will not work. Good luck!

Urrrh, now the complicated bit. Please ensure your pc is seated within 2 meters of your TV. Yeh like that's gonna happen. As many people have their PC in a different room than their TV this isn't feasible. Most want to use wireless.
