I like that AMD processor but we have a Brick and Mortar store near us that gives away processors it's called MicroCenter. The i5 3570k for only $189 and if you bundle it with a mobo you get an extra $40 off. So instead of paying $365 @ Newegg I got it for $285 @ MicroCenter nice difference. I have 2 of these Intel 520 Series 240g http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167088 and a 320 series Intel and a Dead Crucial RealSSD 128gb and a OCZ vertex 180gb SSD.The Intel 520 series drives are super super fast.Intel is also the only company out there ATM that offers a 5 year warranty on they're SSD drives.Everyone else offers 2 and 3 year. I had 2 74gb raptors in Raid 0 before I got my first SSD.SSD is atleast 2x faster than any mechanical drive. Also I would not get Crucial memory.Compatibility and build quality on they're memory as of late has been horrible.And they are severely overpriced. I like the unlocked Intel CPU's for overclocking - can't be beat. I'd use the 8-core AMD CPU in a server, but not in a gaming rig. The Intel is a winner there. I'm partial to Corsair RAM as I've had zero problems with the brand over several builds, and I'm an nVidia fan for video cards for the stable drivers (currently rocking 2x EVGA 680's. Frame rates kick ass but I still suck in game play :-) ), though from what I've read the AMD is a great video card. Edit: Agree on a solid SSD for the boot drive and a large-capacity drive for storage. Fast boot and game load makes SSD a requirement, not an option.
