Wow, this is terrible. I was thinking about getting Crysis 1 and Crysis Warhead.

 

Someone needs to release an unofficial patch with new master server (if allowed in EULA) and give the finger back to those lazy bums. I'd wait on downloading the unofficial patch unless it's from a legit mod site.

 

The only issue is due to secuROM you can only install Crysis once I believe, if it's the retail box version. So if you go with the unofficial patch and EA changes it's mind and release new official patch then your stuck with what you got. That's if your unwilling to do the illegal route.

 

If BF2 is going to get updated, why is Crysis being throw to the curb?

Um, hey.  Did someone forget to turn off the login servers at GameSpy?  I seem to be able to get onto the hardcore server just fine.  Come join me if you can.

They moved it to the end of this month.

 

My guess is that shutting down Gamespy servers is an incremental process.

That is to join there server. I think thats the one where they ask you to post on their website why you want to play with them. I was hoping we could do something like that with our server. Where the members can have a place to play. But it is too early to ask as its still playing. Its beyond me and praying that someone can figure it out. Please...

Not sure about Crysis but most games you buy you do not own. You agree to use a license to use it til they the creators decide to take it back. You never own the game sorry

I am pretty sure once you buy a license it is yours forever, so long as you dont go against the EULA. But Im no lawyer. It would require a team of lawyers to understand it all.

Thought I would leave a Note here in case you Guys missed the newest Infos around the Gamespy Shutdown and it's impact on CW.

 

There will be a patch to still be able to play Crysis Wars after the Gamespy shutdown. You can simply connect to a server through the InGame Serverlist.

Further instructions will be posted @evolutionx.eu (german) (evolutionx.eu are already testing the new system and it looks like it works, but you will need their rXc Client Extension to join the servers.)

What im thinking is that they will turn the log in system to how COD 4 is, were you just make a profile in game and play with it which wouldn't require any usernames or passwords.
