Placing a sentry in the air by jumping off something and dropping object mid flight is not ok.

This is a bug and should not be exploited. Much the same as we do not exploit glitches.

I will look into seeing if a script fix will take care of it. I am hoping a simple 'on the ground' check will do it like is done for objectives.

I also notice your the man I would talk to about helping out with the programming. Im a programmer and I am looking for some way to help out in any way I can so pm me please when you get a chance., Thanx!

When did you last see the bubble thing? It shouldnt even be possible now unless for some strange reason you actually respawned as frozen in the air. Maybe you are thinking of the older mod last week that was on for a couple days. That one had a problem with player bodies and ragdolls.

Are people respawning as frozen where the ragdoll body lands, if the player was shot in the air, or are they respawning in the air where they were shot and then fall again?

@@Sammy if you get shot on or most the way up the ladder you fall from your bubble, but you are still able to climb up and down until defrosted. You have to have started the climbing process for this to happen.

The other example is if you are on the edge of a building or just about to jump off and you get frozen your bubble will stay on the edge of the building but your body will go to ground.

If you jump and clear the edge before you get shot then both body and bubble go to ground as per normal.

The way it works is that you respawn normally but your controls are frozen so you cannot move. The difference is that the origin given to the spawn function is obtained from wherever the body is not a spawn point. Something to keep track of: are you respawning as frozen before the body has finished falling? I am wondering if the watcher for body location is being stopped early and the last known origin is in the air where the body was at that time. This may or may not be where you were shot.

As for the ladder also something to keep track of: Is the body really close to the base of the ladder? I dont know how maps do ladder triggers but does it work by distance to the ladder mount point and it is done automatically? Not like wall mantling?

@@Sammy you respawn frozen but nearly at the same instant you drop out of the bubble and go to ground.

Most of the ladder incidents for me at least is being shot at the base of the ladder having just started the climb.

Ok so you are respawning in the air? That sounds like you are respawning maybe while the body is still falling, which is where it gets its respawn position from. Can be fixed and will likely require a check of some kind to make sure the body is no longer moving before getting its location.

Yes. I'm not sure how close to the edge you need to be. In most cases I'm nearly falling off when I'm shot. Same goes for window ledges etc.

I mean is... when you respawn frozen, where are you respawning in relation to where you were shot. If you were shot on a ledge do you respawn there? On the ground below it? Or somewhere in the air in between the two?

@@Sammy yes as far as I'm concerned I respawn at the point I got shot, then fall.
