But the main reason for all these agreements? Because everyone wants things cheap. Especially all the cheap shit they buy from China every week that they dont actually need. Ask and ye shall provide. Also, people dont want to pay $5.00 for an avocado or meat that costs $40 a pound. Add a couple thousand to the cost of a basic car. Lots more expensive to make stuff here between raw materials, land prices, executive pay, labor, stricter controls and all the rest. Not even taxes anymore since companies often get sweetheart deals to move to different areas. So... to get jobs back here... are you willing to pay for it? Or will you insist on prices to remain the same? Dessy 1 Awards

A great day for British national sovereignty. Hopefully, Americans will vote likewise this fall. If the EU was just about trade, I doubt there'd have been a referendum. However, as it moved towards "ever closer union" and continued the imposition of bureaucracy and legislation written by unelected officials, it ate away at our democracy. Our country's population is now 65.1m, up 500k in one year! Something even the campaigners didn't mention was that the hundreds of thousands of migrants need somewhere to live. The law of supply and demand has pushed housing prices up making purchases the reserve of the rich. (I wasn't aware that the USA had "open borders" that allow foreign nationals to enter, remain, work and live without control in the same way as the EU does.) The actual process of extraction is going to take years and will be complex. For the moment, I can't see any imminent major changes. baldie 1 Awards

Not in the same way DJ but here, illegals pour across our southern border and once in country, take jobs and get benefits. Some states even give them driver's licenses though they are unindicted federal lawbreakers. California wants to give them the right to vote - to increase the handouts. Democrats support illegals because they are responsible for the handouts and free stuff and know that they'll get the votes from people who receive it. Republicans support illegals because they work for minimum wage or below and Republicans are bought and paid for by big business. Americans know all this, and are fed up with both parties, with their federal government, and with machine politics where the special interests run the government. So we're looking for our "new" independence day Nov. 8. Trump is a shallow thinker and loudmouth. But it's the people he will bring into government - outsiders - that I'll be voting for. Blame the lawyers and regulations. It's never, ever, extreme greed and everything else be damned. No responsibility. No accountability. Do you truly want to go back to the era where corporations could get away with whatever the hell they wanted? Or how like China is now? VW fucked up big time. Was it because regulations were too high? Companies dont go to mexico because of lawyers. They go there because their products are cheaper to make. If they can prevent lawsuits, its just more money in the bank. No reason to use that money to move back here when all it would do is increase costs with no benefit. Funny how people are expected to show responsibility but business is not. JohnnyDos 1 Awards
