BF 1 fall patch is now live

Today the patch dropped for bf1. Dice hasn't released the patch notes yet, but they said they will release them soon.. Weapon changes from this patch can be found on Symthic though.

 

Also read that hc servers are available, but can't confirm myself since i am off to work  Hope they finally released hc servers and the rent-a-server.

They fucked everything up, we joined a server and it started game straight away with 4 on one team and only one person on the other team, took ages for other people to join whereas it usually finds people withing seconds, no objectives were showing, sights on the tanks had disappeared, if it was hardcore we got no message that it was, also joined operations game and the same thing, they also now managed to put a big red light glitch on St Quentin scar map  as well as the big orange sun in Amiens map, my filter was full of American servers, even when i changed to European servers it was still showing American servers with bad pings, how long now until they fix their so called fix lol.

when they dont get more options in the server settings i dont think we get servers look at this

Yea it definitely seems very bare bones, and no kick/ban feature yet, though Braddock states it is coming. Knowing dice though that's gonna take another two months. Still Its a place to call home, which just might be worth it for some clans.

 

Also and this is probably the deal breaker or at least makes most servers impossible to start, if the server is configured for 64 players, a round will not start until at least 20 people are in the server. Most people wont wait that long for people to join.

 

We've already stated about 4 weeks ago that kick/ban is something the Dev team are working to bring in after launch.

I put mine back to DX12 too Broman, i also changed all my settings back to Ultra from High and the game ran smoother in the last hour than it has for days, just played Amiens and the Big Yellow Sun glitch had gone, think they put it in St Quentin Scar instead now though...hmm

Yep they fucked up the rent a server, for now. Read in some tweets things like kick/ban are coming soon™.. I just can't understand how they could fuck this up, renting a server worked fine for all previous bf titles.

 

Well, back to playing in random servers and keep on waiting for proper servers. Took bf4 about a year to become an awesome game, so there is still hope

I have more internet technicians coming on friday to try fix my packet loss issues so hopefully I can finally start properly playing.

 

The server options EA are offering at the moment are literally no good. They have to offer at least more options to some extend that 3rd party programs had for the PC. The current server rent program is something like the BF3/BF4 console rent program. Seems like one of those trends recently with new games coming out , the developers are tending to make the console and pc experience equal in nearly every way.

Though it is possible to make things a bit better, if one customises some settings for a hc server. Problem with that is, the server will list as custom instead of hardcore and thus harder to find..

 

Now there are even more things on the 'soon' list. I rather have all the bf4 launch problems than this half ass game

Whats wrong with it? I thought it was a more realistic and balanced version compared to BF4's. You cant run and gun, you really have to think before you engage and make sure you know what the enemy looks like.

The issue is as follows:

 

You don't know if you get the kill other than a "plink" sound which could also be ammo empty.

 

Snipers everywhere on large open maps. A game earlier, there were nearly 40 snipers in a 64 man game...yes...40!

 

Shotguns on CQB. They were used a fair amount on amiens, and argonne forest, but now, nearly everyone uses them and you can't do anything to combat that but use shotguns.

 

Tanks, artillery trucks and such are way over powered now with the damage increase, but also they're tougher in terms of damage needed to beat them down.

 

Trains - pretty sure they've been weakened...used to be 15 anti tank mines to destroy them in the beta. It was upped to 24 on release. Back down to 18.

 

K bullets do LESS damage on a person than they used too, but slightly more damage on vehicles.

 

As for the servers...admins aren't even in their own whitelists for the server. Lack of kick and ban features. Customisation for weapons is a choice of turn kits off or keep them on. Same for vehicles etc. Needs to be done so we have something like rcon.

I don't want a realistic bf, not any more so then previous bf hardcore modes at least. I'd hop in a game of insurgency for a bit more sim.

 

-No friendly tags, which is quit stupid in bf. On foot it is doable to see who's friendly and who's not but almost impossible in a plane. Just make it so only enemies have no tags, like before.

-60hp or 200% bullet damage, either one is fine.

-No big map, which is also idiotic. Renders a lot of gadget completely useless. In previous titles I used the big map quit a bit to get a better overview. Oh and mortar without people spotting is shit as well

-probably some other things I forgot now that I don't like

 

I don't mind snipers or shotguns, those guns where always powerful in previous bf games and do have big downsides. Just get a proper rent-a-server programme and admins could limit snipers.

 

Tanks are meant to be powerful, though it still takes the same amount of damage to destroy as normal mode. Just as previous bf games

 

So just give us a proper kill feed, friendly troop indicators and a big map and I'll be happy. Basically make it bf4 hardcore ^^

 

Edit: Forgot to mention, some of the above points can be adjusted and made more like bf4. Though that'll make it a custom server, and we know from bf4 how that went. People don't find it easy, so getting it full is a problem.
