All the OT allowed me to pick up 2 beautiful firearms! The fist is a Panzer Arms bullpup 12 gauge shotgun. Came with cleaning kit, sights and 2-5 round magazines. The second is an absolutely beautiful Springfield Armory M1 Garand. (maunfactured January 1943). Hated to miss the fest, but allowed me to obtain 2 fantastic firearms. Do we really need anything? I purchased these firearms because: 1. To protect my family. 2. To teach my children how to be responsible with and around firearms. 3. My children love to go shooting. 4. I wanted to own a piece of history. (And thinking that my rifle could have been on the battlefield spilling blood!) 5. Holding that Springfield M1 Garand, gives me a whole new respect for the soldiers that carried that rifle into battle. Here is the little 22lr that my girls shoot. Looks like an AR... It is a Smith and Wesson AR15-22. And my new Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum with 500 rounds. What a blast to shoot! 4669A28A-AA33-477B-AD87-11D066FB2CA3.MOV Edited November 2, 2018 by Crusher RobMc, SirThunder , Timmah! and 2 others 5 Awards

I am not sure what it is.. but the M1 Grand brings back memories only an Idiot would love. Having to run in place as my CC yelled, "Get your legs up Hicks" in boot camp. That is as close I got to an M1 grand in action. Plugged and used as punishment instead. Great memories!!! Pain helps you remember a moment.

If you want to be concerned about preventable deaths, at least give equal time to some of the top killers like ~40,000/year in car accidents, most preventable...or Nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infection deaths at ~90,000 last year...mostly because doctors & nurses don't wash their hands between patients or don't sufficiently maintain cleanliness around an i.v. When's the last time gun rights protesters were up in arms about 90,000 people needlessly dying because someone didn't feel like washing their hands? Or about people texting while driving...or applying makeup while on the road.... Didn't think so. RobMc 1 Awards

After 2 years an update. I still have not shot the M1 Garand. Just too nice. The shotgun took about 75 rounds to break in. Would stove pipe every other shot. I was using RIO birdshot 7.5. I had a gunsmith tell me that I needed to shoot high brass shells through it to make it work properly. Well, after 75 rounds, I can shoot anything through it and it works just fine. Pretty accurate at 10 to 15 yards. I do now realize that the placement of the magazine is just terrible. Looks cool, but for real world shooting, it is just terrible. I should have purchased the AR-12 style shotgun instead. (It looks just like an AR15, but shoots 12 ga. shells). Hunter1948 1 Awards
