  2. Several problems and solutions that I have learned over the years. CPU not properly seated will do that. It might see all 16gb of memory but only use a portion of it. When I build a New PC I put the CPU in the socket and clamp it down. Then take it back out and clamp it back down. I'll do this a couple times before I put my thermal paste on and bolt down the cooler. Lightly press down on the CPU while you lock it down the last time. AMDs memory controller is on the CPU so if it's not seated correctly it will cause all types of problems. 1st gen socket 939 and AM2 were notorious for not seating the 1st couple times. You could not just pop it in and go unless you were really lucky lol. Motherboard could have a faulty memory channel. I've had to RMA quite a few mid priced motherboards lately for PCs that I have built for people. CPU could be faulty but that rarely happens these days. Memory compatibility should Not be the issue since you are running the correct speed of memory for the motherboard and that memory is 1.2v. If memory voltage is higher than 1.5v you have to set the voltage up manually. You have Bios Version 3803 which is the latest version. Here is what I would do if you still have problems after Re-Seating the CPU. This is going to take hours but it's the only way to test both the memory and motherboard. This is your motherboard. I marked Channel 1 in Blue and Channel 2 in Orange. Step 1. Install 2 memory modules in channel 1 and load into windows and run Windows Memory diagnostics. Click Start, type mdsched.exe in the Search box, and then press Enter. Choose whether to restart the computer and run the tool immediately or schedule the tool to run at the next restart. Let it run untill it's completely done. If errors are displayed Replace memory. Step 2. Pull those out and put the other 2 in channel 1 and test again. Step 3. If no errors were detected Repeat the tests above on Channel 2 If you get errors in 1 channel and not the other you will have to RMA the motherboard. I know it sucks testing 4 sticks of memory in 4 different slots because it takes forever but that's the only way to test all 4 memory modules and all 4 memory slots. Hope this helps.

    Watched a 30 min video about it some time ago. Allthough it aint really my genre, I got kinda psyched about this one! Will get Farcry 5 first by the end of the month. When im done with that I will get the previous metro games as a warming up for the newest one

    Usually, when you come out of spawn protection, you have to raise your weapon. Takes a second and in the past some have complained about it. During this time, normally, you cannot shoot but can be shot at. However the trick is to bypass the raising so that the instant you are out of spawn protection.... since you know the timer... it snap raises aiming down the sights. So you can stand right in front of a player and the instant spawn protection reaches 0, bang. Those that dont know the trick, which exploits an oversight in the game, cant do this and are at a disadvantage. Or others simply dont because they think its unfair. Spec some people and you will see some do it.

    As for the B2, there were a few problems that I havent had time to work on yet so no its not there. Anything like that has to play nice with all the other methods of defrosting etc. The car as it currently stands is overpowered really for a 3-kill award in freezetag. Its also way too fast but it was made that way here to help with defrosting. The side effect is that its nearly an automatic kill even with jammers. I expected there to be resistance to the dual-cars. People cant have their cake and eat it too with defrosts and an easy kill. Thought about making them into different tiers. 3 for the defroster car and 5 for the killer car (to go with predators). The current car is the only 3-kill lethal streak. That low isnt a big deal in tdm since you just respawn but it has a big effect in ftag. So if that sounds like the better option let me know. Not sure what you mean about car defrosting and jammers since they dont interact. Otherwise, no changes made.

    We shall see how the spawn protection addition plays out. Might work well. Might need some tweaks. Or it might not work well at all. Only gameplay will tell. Wouldnt be the first time that something just didnt work. As for map compatibility I was careful to keep asset counts the same for those that tended to cause the most headaches. Namely model count and number of materials. But I am still watching. The rocket gun is harder to use than you think. Its damage and blast radius is small. Rate of fire is slow. Doesnt go far before it starts to wander instead of a straightish line. But since this is the first time the mod has used one nothing is set in stone. However for anyone that doesnt like it, it helps to know why. Then things can be adjusted and try again. As for maps that you want that arent in the rotation, tell someone. Maybe they work but just arent there or not in enough rotations. Or maybe they were but there were too many 'this map sucks' people that complained.

    No the crosshair shouldnt be there. Thx. Still working out settings. As or the mouse thing no. Thats just a difference in computer equipment. No different than so-called sound whores that simply have better speakers and such. Not even like people that put a red sticky dot on their screen. None however use tricks to exploit the game (imo little different than those exploiting the distance foliage trick or even macros). Cant do anything to prevent them it just adds a little bit of vulnerability for an instant. Yea two seconds might be too long in a fast game. Will see how it goes and likely go with one second. For the spamming issue you brought up going to try a quick flash 'view shift' that doesnt damage the shooter or do anything with the weapon just messes up the view for a second. The visual effect is sort of like double-vision. The only players that would even see this are those that try and spam someone that suddenly pops in front of them. edit: crosshairs should now be off edit: killstreak 'clone' now off

    Hi guys and gals. OW2 147b2 up and running with a stock rotation. pwd is sammy while I make sure as many kinks as possible are worked out. Download size is pretty much the same as 146. Later I will set up an external download so you can get it outside of the game and install the files yourselves if preferred. Gametype is freezetag however if everyone wants to do tdm for it right now let me know. Big pdf attached if you want to read through a bunch of shit. Redirect seems to work ok tho a couple times I had to disconnect and delete the .tmp files from the mod folder when it tried to download an already completed file again. Happened a lot on previous mods also so this was to be expected. Its a different mod and folder name so will not affect the main server files.     I know the problem. Fixed. Realistic? In a game called freezetag? Not at all. Otherwise there is so much more I could do. No spawn protection. If you throw out a 1/2 empty mag you lose it instead of it going into reserve. No always-on minimap. Oh and cutting off the legs of bunny hoppers. So to speak. Just a matter of fairness. In a typical tdm game if you die because your foot gets shot off no big deal. You just respawn. But in ftag you have to sit there until hopefully someone defrosts you if at all. Or... if you are the last player on the team should you lose the round, and perhaps the game, because your foot gets shot? That's a lame way to lose. But if you lose because of a single headshot you can say well-done to the shooter.

    By request, at the end of the game the stats will show who killed you the most as your 'nemesis'. It will also show who is the 'best' nemesis so to speak and the victim. Just one more reason for everyone to bitch at people when the match is over. In the stats, I was killed by bot 11. So it is my personal nemesis. I was actually killed twice by two different bots (1 each) so one was chosen at random. For the right hand side it shows bot 16 as the victim of the best nemesis, three kills by me. All my other victims were two or less. Next is to test it all out on a live server. Also to see who is the biggest bitcher. I tried things like "name (5 kills )" but it seemed too cluttered and doesnt really add anything.

  30. used to have a few basic expresso machines, they all went in the dustbin. then i start using a french press, but i stopped that as my fav coffee is from a stainless steel Italian coffee pot i grind my grains, but buy them roasted. i used to live next to a coffee roasting pub, that was fantastic coz u wake up in the morning and the whole street was smelling good coffee . blends i used is mostly hundurian (wich we all like here because of its chocolate notes, its lovely), maragogype, santos superior, but best coffee i ever tasted was a blue mountain but its so expensive and hard to find around here.

    Ok this should maybe move people from a certain other thread to provoke discussion. After long term viewing of gameplay, careful consideration, opinion, and requests the RC-XD will be split into two. One explosive the other defroster. Makes the defroster part consistent with the other streaks. Both will have a kill requirement of three. So you must choose one or the other. Unless you die and change your loadout and earn another award in a different slot. Thus far the balances will be: RC-XD: No defrost of course and normal speed. Maybe x1.5. Not the current speed demon. That will require game play testing to see how it goes. Dont want a nerfed car. RC-Defrost: No manual trigger since no explosives and lasts until the timer is out or it is destroyed. Because it cannot defend itself it will maintain its current fast speed and be somewhat stealthy in terms of quietness and visibility by sentryguns. More health since enemies can move in close without fear of death and shoot it while its defrosting. Both are still affected by EMP + CM mine the same. No change to climbing or jumping. Will be interesting to see which players want which streak. Defrost your team. Or make a kill.

    i think the semtex should stay how they are in the video you just made them feel like the regular nade but if you add another type of nade from semtex that we can choose like proximity semtex you toss them they stick and when enemy walks by it it goes boom

    Experimenting with an additional primary nade option. Basically a semtex that explodes on contact. On first glance it seems unbalanced so thinking that the balance will first be less power. Also, consider it heavier so it takes a little bit longer to throw and wont go as far. Would this be a good addition? And of course if you throw it too close, kaboom.

    No, this wont be a tube or rpg in a pistol. Since the projectile is very small its explosive punch will be as well. If you want to do damage you still have to land a hit on the target very close. For the demo its power is still relatively large for testing. Slow RoF. Low ammo count. There is travel time, like all rockets, so if you like to hop around and spam you would still be better off with a normal pistol. The model looks off because there is something wrong with the specular file. Oh and the primary is the lsat. Replaces the hbar. It will have the stats of the m60. So the class will have the saw, rpd and lsat. edited: grammar mistake.

    For a secondary weapon addition, first tests of a hand held rocket gun are successful. Somewhat similar in concept to the rocket gun out of the 60's once used as a prop in a James Bond movie. Fires a small rocket propelled explosive projectile instead of a bullet. Slow rof. ATM 1 round per second for testing. Ammo and magazine counts will probably be similar to the magnum. Being a small projectile, explosive radius and force is small. It also trades explosive force and less impact damage. The impact will hurt but its not a tube insta-kill. As a projectile, there is an 'activation' distance. If too close, there will be impact damage but no explosion. It will be fast but still has a travel time and not the instant hit of a bullet weapon. It will destabilize after a distance. There is a short-lived projectile trail. So when you fire it, enemies close by will see the direction it came from if they are paying attention. Going to take some careful balancing to make sure its not too good nor too weak. Its a sidearm not an rpg. For one, its not very useful at very close range since it wont activate in time, impact damage is small and rof is slow. So probably not the best weapon if you primarily go room to room. Some people lead first with a tube to get the impact kill but that wont work here. And no, there will not be a full-auto rocket gun. Will upload a test vid tomorrow. Still working out some quirks. But feel free to leave opinions.

    A change to secondary weapons. The full auto G18 moved from specops to sidearms to replace the single shot version. Iron sights and silencer options only. Compared to the way it is now it is being rebalanced as a machine pistol. Meaning somewhere in between an smg and a pistol with different benefits and drawbacks. Based on the stock versions, high damage at very close range but the lowest damage in the game at farther ranges. Damage-range ratio drops off very fast. High fire rate. High recoil. Etc etc. So if you want it along with your saritch or m21, instead of say a P99, you trade several things to get a fast firing machine pistol. With the G18 moved, going to restore the Skorpion with a newer view model. That will require another model asset but another thing I am going to do is remove the four custom viewhands to use those slots for other things. The originals will be restored but with better textures. Have an additional pistol option in mind but needs further testing to see how it works in-game.

    version 1.47 Stealth perk. A couple changes to make it more in-line with traditional stealth. More or less. If you have it, and walk, you are protected against mines. Such as walking up stairs, through doors or around tight corners. However if you run it will see you but at 1/2 of its normal detection radius. So its conceivable you could be running with the mine off to one side and still farther than the 1/2 range. I havent added it to the claymore yet but because its detection cone is a lot less it will likely work the same but without the 1/2 range reduction. Maybe 1/4. Ignore all the debug messages.
