Heavy work schedule, so we all didn't arrive at the lakes simultaneously. Gaggle of cars & boats, but we loaded up Wednesday morning & headed north for breakfast & home. Pouring down rain, battery saver alert came on, I watched the voltage drop until I pulled into a rest stop on IL57 south of Urbana. Guy & Dale picked me up, called towing service for nearest dealer, had the boys drop me off in Champaign, IL. Rode with the towing company back to my car, it started & charged, no point in loading on the flatbed. Lead me to the dealer & make me out a bill. By this time it's noon, no techs around, car is charging fine. Service manager & I flipped a coin, so I headed up the road to Bloomington-Normal. 30 miles out it quit charging again, but JUST made it to Lehmans dealership in Bloomington before it croaked. Charged the battery, found a bad cell, did some recall work while there, they test drove it, pronounced me good to go. About 5 miles away it quit charging again, so back to Lehmans I went. Poor techs & service girls were fit to be tied, they thought they had it sorted out. I laughed, that's equipment for you. Boning me hard for the new battery, and now a GM alternator, but they shot me a deal on new Michelin tires. Sales girl gave me a 2021 GMC Arcadia to drive home (scratch it, and you bought it, big boy). Had to hollar out to one of the techs, "where's the shifter?" "It's on the dash, all toggle now, everyone asks that!" So much for a relaxing fishing trip.

Glad I got to California before it turned into a shitshow. I won't go back.....ever. Newsome, Pelosi and the Dems own this.

I find this fact more depressing than the war in Ukraine, it is well hidden in the MSM just like similar things in Europe. I hope you are all well aware that some of what you read and see is not true, and worse you do not get to see and read some things you should. The Seattle docu/movie is truly horrendous, Youtube has become one of the few places things like this have an outlook, but even they are censoring more and more, you must all fight for free speech.

Happening all over the country - the politicians forget that they work for us - not their egos. They need to focus on OUR country - not the rest of the world. Posted this before but it is still true

This is a video I made to show one of hundreds of homeless camps throughout Sacramento, Ca. One of thousands throughout California. This is about 1 mile on Roseville Road in Sacramento. Every few months they will go and clear them out. Not necessarily the people, but the stripped stolen cars and abandoned RVs. A few weeks later the area will look exactly the same with new stolen vehicles, an abundance of trash and multiple forms drug use disposed items. I have not only heard of but have seen multiple people OD from heroin and fentanyl. Meth users will walk down the street talking to themselves or laid out on n some random public grass area passed out. This shit is wild to me.

I hope XI Fest is a blast this weekend and everyone stays safe. Unfortunately my beautiful bride and I always plan a week away for our anniversary. We had already made reservations in the Outer Banks....so we could not join you all. But we will be there in spirit. I start my new job on Monday. Have lived here my whole life and have watched the democrats destroy this state for the last 40 years of them being in control with all there hand outs and programs. If tacnukes were easy to get every round would end with one. It would be a total contest to see who could get one first. It would likely change the game where aggressiveness skyrockets and the goal is to go after and freeze the other team (by both sides) before that happens. So more time would be spent pushing hard to freeze everyone ASAP over defrosting your own team. Small tweaks affecting just one setting have a tendency to cascade over the whole game like that. It always comes down to the question of what is good for you vs what is good for the game.

Not Good!

We have a lot of that shit up in Washington state too. We had one of those old RVs park at a grocery store a while back and catch on fire (they were cooking meth in it). The burning husk just sat there for weeks with police tape around it until the store finally spent money to clean that crap up. I thought it was just a west coast thing but I went and visited Missouri a month ago - I drove the 2000 miles across the Rockies and the plains. I saw homeless crap like that in more places than I imagined. Even in Wyoming (I didn't even realize anyone lived in that state) I saw some tents and RVs in Cheyenne (the older dilapidated looking RVs I assume are homeless). I saw more homeless in Missouri too. Even in small / medium size towns (~100k) around where I grew up. I believe its mostly drugs. The homeless I run across are usually crazy. They don't seem to really want help, they seem to just want money for drugs. They aren't happy receiving food and there sure isn't any that hold signs that say 'looking for work'. There is an interesting YouTube video on the homeless problem in Seattle that explores this. We as a society are going to have to come to a decision on if we want to lock people up in insane asylums like the old days (or some shit like that) or just let this kind of shit potentially spread everywhere as housing prices continue to go up. The old trailer parks and project housing that existed when I was young was where most of that crazy shit was contained. Now those trailer parks are being sold for millions (in the west anyway) and the poorest and craziest have no where to go but the streets (they won't go to shelters because they can't do drugs there).

personally, i have only ever had one in my years in XI, and it was donated to me via the theft perk we used to have lol it seems like it was.. dam.. can't remember who i stole it from, but i know he would get all pissy when people stole his toys lol haven't seen him for a while, maybe he's banned or something now..
