Japan moved 8 ft. during the quake. I just feel if they shifted the earth 8 feet there it may have disturbed the earth somewhere else and that spot, wherever it is, may then shift itself to get more comfortable resulting in more quakes. The wave that hit wasn't realy that big. i think that much of the land that was inadated by water is below sea leavel to begain with. most of the buildings are made of wood and placeing a neculer plant so close to the sea was not a good location.
